On April 11, 2024, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain attended 2023 National Innovation and Design Awards ceremony at The Miller Building in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and presented the awards to their recipients. These awards are each year presented to people or companies that have made innovation or design an essential element in the development of their professional strategy and business growth.
They are also given to those professionals and companies that have made important contribution to the prestige of Spanish design, and to the entities that, by incorporating it into their business strategy, have demonstrated that design is a powerful lever of innovation and competitiveness. Queen Letizia wore a new light purple suit by Hugo Boss.
Not crazy about the jacket nor the trousers but I like the coral colour.

Agree !!
DeleteExactly!
DeleteSuperbe comme toujours

Nice spring pantsuit! In English, that color is called coral, not purple, the color that gives people w/pink-orange colorblindness a hard time. Christine
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, the jacket and trousers are called "light purple" on the website. It makes no sense to me either.
DeleteMaybe a translation error. Happens all the time.
DeleteIn the introduction they said that Queen Letizia is wearing a light purple suit ?
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you call this color, but in the Netherlands it is called coral red.
The jacket is too long and throws off the proportions, especially for a petite wearer.
ReplyDeleteShe is 1,70...petite? How tall are you?
DeleteShe may be tall but she looks petite. Especially now that she is wearing lower heels. There is no need to get defensive Anonymous 11/4/24 21:05. There is no shame for a petite woman. Good things come in small packages.
Delete1,70 m is not petite for a woman of the mediterranean countries like Spain, Italy, Greece, the south of France. The more you are going up nord in Europe people are taller and taller, especially the younger generation. 1,70 m is considered as rather not so tall these days (especially for boys).
DeleteMary of Denmark, Victoria of Sweden and their husbands are about 1,70....petite also.??
DeleteLove the color. Pant suit is simple but elegant. Less is more.
ReplyDeleteThe blazer is way too big. A miss, for me
ReplyDeleteLa couleur corail de cette veste et pantalon sublime délicatement le teint de Letizia !
ReplyDeleteDesign and Innovation Awards 2023? or 2024
ReplyDeleteJacket looks cheap inside
Lovely spring suit
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked that a label as expensive as Hugo Boss did not line this blazer.
ReplyDeleteA lining gives comfort, structure and durability to a garment. Shame! Usually it's the cheap brands that skip the lining. I don't like the peachy colour. I don't think it suits Letizia's colouring. Very few people can wear this colour and look good in it. But, it's nice to see her trying different things which make watching her style always interesting.
There is a wide fold of fabric in front of the jacket and imo it's enough for a light summery jacket. It looks very good to me. The colour is one of my favourites, nice.
DeleteLining the jacket would defeat the purpose of it being a spring/summer suit.
DeleteThere are fabrics you can use to line or half line summer jackets.
DeleteAn unlined jacket looks unattractive when the jacket swings open and you see the seams as is shown in one of the pictures.
Letizia looks good. Don't care much for unlined blazers. I do like the color. css
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the colour. So fresh, springlike and flattering. As others have said, the jacket is not the best. It’s too big and seems to swamp Queen Letizia. Still, overall, a good look

I prefer the styling on the model - monochromatic with the chunky sandals to balance out the slightly oversized jacket. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI do not care for the oversized jacket of this pantsuit - that and the color are giving me “Miami Vice” vibes.

Letizia is 51... probably she has never heard about "Miami vice"...I am 54 and was very young.....
DeleteYou can look up "Miami Vice" on line. It doesn't matter what your age is anymore. Information is at your finger tips.
DeleteAnd Letizia is going to look It up because of you...I wonder sometimes if people here is drunk..
DeleteI didn't mean Letizia. I mean't the poster. Not drunk. No need to be rude.
DeleteQueen Letizia looks marvelous. She looks great in coral--not a color many people can wear well. I agree with other posters that the jacket is a bit too large or boxy when paired with the trousers. I am also shocked that the jacket is not lined--given its Hugo Boss it cost a lot of money but this unlined jacket looks like something you'd find at cheap, discount store.
ReplyDeleteJanet
This is a beautiful colour
ReplyDeleteLove the pantsuit
It is not because the blazer has no lining that it looks cheap. There are other expensive brands that are skipping the lining in their summer jackets.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the blazer is too big for Letizia. I don't think the white blouse with the rather high neckline is a good match either. The trousers are a bit too short. She seems to favor trousers with shorter legs. Coral red is a good color for her it matches her brown skin and darkbrown hair.
The eternal question ?
ReplyDelete"should a lady sit with her legs crossed ?" 😕
You should not make that question in Spain, the equality Ministers (there are some of them) could even sue you ...
DeleteDo they have quality Ministers too ?
DeleteEsa "eterna pregunta" es ridÃcula en el S XXI.
DeleteQ L is always nice!
