On April 24, 2024, Queen Mathilde of Belgium presented the Queen Mathilde Awards "I SEE, IDEA, I DO" of the Queen Mathilde Fund at the Royal Palace in Brussels. Before the award ceremony, the Queen spoke with young people who have created the 14 selected projects, and with the chairmen of the youth jury that chose the winners of the Queen Mathilde Awards.
Every year, the Queen Mathilde Fund supports dozens of initiatives in Belgium that empower vulnerable children and young people. The project call “I SEE, IDEA, I DO” specifically provides support and professional guidance to young people who are looking for solutions to local challenges and thus aims to encourage social entrepreneurship among young people.
I like this outfit on Mathilde very much. Not only is it in white, which always suits her and makes her look very regal, but there's no cinching at the waist, and instead it beautifully accentuates her gloriously long legs and height. Brava!

Agree !!
DeleteP.E.R.F.E.C.T.I.O.N !
DeleteI love this outfit on Q.M. The colour, the simplicity of the design, the fluid fit, the perfect length for the trousers, and the statement earrings create such an elegant look. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteOttima scelta, questo completo la valorizza molto soprattutto l’assenza della cintura in vita le da una linea perfetta. Spero continui così, ultimamente è strepitosa!

Totally agree with first two comments: beautifull!
ReplyDeleteQM very nice!
ReplyDeleteNatan can be very nice. Although it is a repeat, I love Queen Mathilde in these white pants and top. Maybe I shouldn't have said it is by Natan, because all those who automatically not even look anymore at her outfit when they know it is by Natan.
ReplyDeleteHer clutch by Armani is also a repeat. She has it since a very long time. Her broad golden bracelet is by Christine Bekaert, a jewel she also has since a very long time. Since Queen Mathilde is back from the pilgrimage to Compostela, I do not see her wearing one of her bracelets anymore (a chain with a medaillon). She wore it together with her watch and the two other bracelets on her left wrist. I wonder what could be the meaning. Her earrings are bought recently on one of her trips for the UN, I think.
I particularly like pics. 2,3, and 4. When Queen Mathilde is among young people she looks so young herself.
Maybe it’s lost in translation, but I hope you don’t find a repeat a negative - “although it is a repeat“? It should in fact be quite the opposite. It sparks joy every time a royal lady (in particular a queen) rewears one of their so many beautiful outfits. Remember, we live on a planet with very limited resources. Fashion industry is the third largest polluter and the example to limit mindless consumption must come from the very top.

DeleteEnglish is not my mother tongue. Maybe I didn't found the right words to express myself. I just wanted to say that even if she wore a repeat I still like it and I love it on Queen Mathilde. From Queen Mathilde it cannot be said that she doesn't recycle her clothes. To give you one example : last Summer she wore all her older dresses designed by Natan. She received bad comments when those dresses were new. Last Summer everybody thought these dresses were new because it wasn't mentioned that Natan made them, several years ago. All of a sudden the Natan haters loved QM's dresses. There are other Royal ladies whose budget on clothes only is much bigger than Queen Mathilde's and they spend every year more money on their clothes than QM.
DeleteThis is a beautiful outfit and the small asymmetry of the top takes it out of the ordinary. This style of top is so much better for the Queen than when she has a tucked in top and trousers.
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice outfit and Queen Mathilde looks good but i yearn for a pop of colour somewhere--a scarf, a necklace, the shoes and bag? Just something to liven it up.

DeleteThat is an old fashion way of thinking about how a queen, princess or a lady in general should be dressed. Nowadays chic is being not overloaded with too much jewelry, too much details, but just plain chic.
The shoes are tanned and the bag (you cannot see it on these pictures) has drawings of leaves on a white ground. It is a clutch by Armani she has since a long time and she is wearing this bag regularly.
That would spoil this classy look.
DeleteThis has to be the best outfit I’ve seen on her this year.
