The three ladies outfits are beautiful. I love the oyster colour of Empress Masako's kimono (and kudos to the Emperor once again for matching his tie); I also like the floral pattern of CP Sarah's red and blue baju kurung. Everything looks so pleasingly clean and formal. I wonder what food was on the menu for a luncheon like this.

  4. Je ne peux pas avoir de préférence parmi ces dames qui sont toutes ravissantes ; le mari de Kiko a peut-être osé changer de cravates en piochant dans celles de son frère ha, ha !

Wonder why there are 'white dot areas' on each side of Empress Masako's kimono (around the elbow area). Suza

It is most likely a kamon (crest) symbol . They would be the crest of your family. They will be placed one on the back below the neck, one on each sleeve and one on each side of the front. I can´t see any on her front though.
      Beautiful kimonos!

The traditional clothes worn by the ladies are beautiful! The Empress' kimono is lovely and that panel of embroidery is gorgeous. CP Sarah's dress is stunning--love the vibrant colors. Her red hijab is so pretty on her--red is a wonderful color for her. I wish I could see more of Kiko's kimono.
