Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie, together with Minister Eric Thill, visited the exhibition "Sub umbra alarum. Luxembourg, Fortress of the Habsburgs 1716-1741" at Drai Eechelen Museum in Luxembourg.
The exhibition explores the expansion of Luxembourg’s fortifications under the new Austrian rule, including the construction of Fort Thüngen in 1732. In 1994, the fortress remains and the city's old quarter were listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site.
Princess Stephanie is so lovely and engaging and has a gorgeous smile - I so enjoy seeing her out and about. This ensemble is almost perfect - it's just that pesky closed jacket button that spoils it a little. Had she left it unbuttoned, the silhouette would have been more flattering, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteIndeed, but her soft and face framing hair style wins the day. The green also complements her blonde hair so nicely. I have grown to admire this couple so much! MR
DeleteThe jacket is not a good size. Although it is good in the shoulder area, it is narrow in the chest area, which is why it is strangely wrinkled there. This is a common problem when you buy jackets from some clothing brands. Either they fit in your shoulders and are narrow in the bust that you can hardly button, or they are the right size in the bust and too big in the shoulders. The solution is to have a tailored jacket tailored to your figure, which I often do.
ReplyDeleteI think ther black pants are not good choice,
Stephanie
Welcome to my world! I can wear some brands, but not others because of the tailoring and there are a lot of women in the same boat! Christine
Deletethey do love art in Luxembourg! a huge percentage of Royal engagements is about art.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures and a good outfit for Stephanie. It would look even better if she left the blazer unbuttoned. But she looks great, lovely hairstyle too. Damsel Dragonfly
ReplyDeleteDeux couleurs bien associées dans cet ensemble. Peut-être que dans un tissu plus souple au niveau de sa veste, cela améliorerait sa silhouette ; magnifiques cheveux dont j'ai toujours admiré la couleur miel !
ReplyDeleteThe fit of Stephanie’s jacket is not the most flattering, but the green color looks lovely on her. I don’t think Guillaume’s pants look quite right color wise with his more formal, dark jacket and tie.

This grass green is a beautiful color, just need some tweaks on fit.
ReplyDeleteStephanie, lovely as ever. Guillaume’s pants are a no from me. Suza
ReplyDeleteThis jacket is a beautiful color, love this shade of green. The jacket is lovely, but I feel the size is problematic. To unbutton would have looked better, maybe with a colored silk scarf flowing.
ReplyDeleteNice color blazer, today. css
ReplyDeleteLove the color of the blazer on Stephanie. Also her hair looks great--the softness of the whole style is perfect for her face. If only the blazer were a better fit--maybe had it been unbuttoned it would have looked better. I feel like the trousers don't fit well either. Still she's always lovely to see and her smile is beautiful.

I like everything on the hereditary grand duchess.

The green jacket does not fit. The fabric looks too light for a blazer type jacket. The shoulders of the jacket are not in the right place. She should try other brands that are especially designed for women who are not very thin. She should also avoid shoulder bags, they are the reason that sometimes there are bad folds on one side of the jacket. Prince Guillaume's pants are not appropriate to be styled like this. This is a color he could wear in his free time with a shirt without tie and a sweater.
