  1. Belle association de couleur camel mais alors que Stéphanie a de magnifiques cheveux, je ne trouve pas que la manière dont elle les coiffe soit à son avantage !

    1. I agree that today's styling isn't the best one.

On occasions such as this one, I don't care about styling or fashion. I so much love the Special Olympics and the courageous souls who participate and encourage them. HGD Guillaume is at his best at this type of outing. He is so warm, authentic and engaged.

RIP to Special Olympics founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver!-Jacqueline

Tout à fait d'accord avec vous. A mon avis le pullover est trop court. C'est dommage, qu'elle n'ait aucun talent pour s'habiller mieux.

    1. Globally I like the outfit, I don't think the top is too short.

Smart outfit, with nice trousers and pullover. Think a contrast would have been better. Like Achard62, I don’t think this is the most flattering hairstyle for HGD Stephanie

I am 61 and you would have to pay me a fortune for wearing that granny outfit in public. Is there really nobody to help this certainly very kind woman to look professional and contemporary? And no, she doesn't have to be a fashionista. Between a fashionista and this nightmare in "rentnerbeige" AS WE say in German, there is a very large spectrum.

  7. Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume really shines on this visit. He has a real connection with the participants, it really warms the heart. His interaction, genuine warmth, and so engaging. Its splendid to see. In every photo he has the most beautiful, infectious smile, and so candid, it speaks volumes. I'm sure the young students were on cloud nine after this visit by the Royal couple.
I realize I should be talking about fashion, but this visit today, and seeing the Grand Duke, so sterling overrides fashion for me today!
Its lovely to see Stephanie on this visit.

I really like Stephanie--she seems to have such a kind, gentle nature. I think its wonderful Guilliame and Stephanie are supporting the Special Olympics--its such a worthy cause. I like how Stephanie is dressed but I'm not crazy about the outfit itself. Its too blergh--it needs a pop of color. Given that Stephanie doesn't wear heels too often I wonder why her trousers are often so long. If her trouser hems were altered for her choice of flat shoes this outfit would have looked so much better.

    1. Oh, this is NOT a frumpy outfit !!! Trendy casual, ok. I don't know what you mean about her hair. She has naturally nice hair but today's styling is so and so. A pity she did not pay more attention to it, her overall look would be so much better.

  10. I sometimes wonder if Princess Stephanie is just doing the job because it is her duty.
Maybe she would rather be a hands-on mum spending her time bringing up her two sons rather than cutting ribbons and opening exhibitions.
I’m going to limit my comments about her outfits as it is becoming evident that fashion/style/mode are not part of her priorities.
Prince Guillaume is from a very large family and there are plenty within that family who could do some official work for the Principality.

    1. Well I think other members of the family have their own occupation, I know about Felix looking after a vin yard .... Only the heir to position is subsidised. My impression is that she enjoys being involved in the life of her country.

The G.D. of Luxemburg is a small country. There are not enough events where a member of the Ducal family is needed. They are not working royals, they have a job and live abroad.

I think she absolutely does enjoy her work and position. And other than an unfortunate lack of style, she has done an amazing job.

Most important, the Luxembourgers seem to really appreciate Stephanie and Guillaume.

It's a sad sign of the times we live in that a Royal female-no matter what other unpleasant character or personality traits- is considered a huge success simply by being conventionally beautiful and well dressed.

Dear No Name 17:25, I completely agree with you. I find the dedication of this ducal couple far more important than the fashion aspect. Let us not forget that GDS always looks dignified. When I compare her look with the recent Bal in Monaco and the Chanel outfits of some of the princely participants, in particular Charlotte, I much prefer this relative simplicity.

  13. Nice color on Stephanie. I like the sweater and blouse combo but the wide-leg slacks aren’t flattering. I think jeans would’ve looked better on her. Especially for this event. Her jewelry and shoes look nice, and I love the way her hair is styled. The soft waves and the shoulder length are very attractive.
