Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited the Norwegian People's Aid as the organization's emergency teams are getting ready for the Easter holidays. The Crown Prince couple opened this year's Easter preparations for the organization. The opening took place in an event at the Ulsrudsvannet in Oslo.
There, the Crown Prince couple called up the Norwegian People's Aid's many local teams over the emergency network. The Norwegian People’s Aid is a politically independent membership-based organization working in Norway and in more than 30 countries around the world.
The NPA's international work covers three main fields, that is, mine action and disarmament, development and humanitarian relief aid. The NPA has 2,000 trained volunteers on standby, who are now prepared for a large Easter activity across the country.
C'est un vrai plaisir que de voir ce couple charmant qui sait s'investir au cours de visite ; Mette-Marit a l'air en super forme !

Nice orange safety jackets! What is being said between the lines, is this emergency preparedness in case of terrorism? Or, regular natural disaster preparedness? Christine
ReplyDeleteIt's for the easter holiday. In Norway we travel upp in the mountains and out in the wilderness at easter time to get the last of snow and skiing before spring. They are prepared for avalanche and all kind of rescue operations.
