  1. A pretty colored dress but the print is just a bit too large for my liking.

  2. Will be interesting to see Queen Mathild’s travel wardrobe for her visit to the Ivory Coast.
She is visiting an African country where, at the moment, temperatures are in the mid 30’s celsius with high humidity.
In my opinion she needs lightweight fabrics and loose fitting clothes.
Hope “keeping up appearances” with her hairdos won’t be a problem due to the humidity. .
Fashion wise, the sky’s the limit with African designs and colour.
    Let's wait and see.

Today when meeting the President of Cote d'Ivoire, Queen Mathilde is repeating this Oscar de la Renta dress, she wore for the first time a couple of years ago on the occasion of the "Gentse floralieën" the yearly flower show in Ghent (Belgium). She also wears her white pearl flower earrings by Carolina Herrera. I think I did not see the pale pink clutch already and don't know what brand it is. Maybe I'll discover more pictures on other sites.

    1. It's vintage Delvaux, a famous Belgian brand

Although it’s an Oscar de la Renta, the dress seems off with the baby pink background color and high placement of the belt. It feels almost like a design for a little girls dress.

  6. Cette robe à l'imprimé fleuri sur fond rose convient à ravir à la reine Mathilde surtout avec sa blondeur !

The clutch is from the Belgian international known brand "Delvaux". It is the Tempête pochette a bag that is no longer produced. Or it is vintage or Queen Mathilde has this bag since a very long time. Found also a video by Royalty Watcher "Wim de Handschutter" were one can see that the queen is wearing very pale pink shoes.
I like her better in this cotton dress now than when it was new. Of course she did lost weight since then.

Beautiful dress. I like the vivid pattern and that it is graded. Earrings are a prefect match.

  10. What a lovely fresh spring like dress. Baby pink is not my favourite colour but it's tempered by the green leaf pattern. Queen Mathilde looks great.

  12. The dress looks lovely overall, but the print of the dress, I am not a fan of, a bit much, regardless a nice outfit. The earrings are a good choice. This was a lovely visit. The Queen is so warm and engaging.

Lovely dress--beautiful colors for the Queen and also bright and cheery for those she is meeting. I think this dress is great look for Mathilde and perfect for her visit.

A very beautiful dress which suits her lovely. One issue I've been wondering for a long time is the fact that some of the commentators are capable to start a blog of their own. So much side information about fashion houses, brands and even gossips and of course information about the relatives and history. Is it fair when Helen is keeping this site? Only my opinion and thoughts, I'm not forced to read those comments and for me too much information.

If I read which brands Queen Mathilde wears for clutch, earrings, shoes, I think it is not forbidden on a fashion site to tell that to the others. If someone else can tell me something of the clothes, jewelry, accessories, a queen or princess wear they are welcome. In fact that is the reason why I am reading these comments to have as much information as possible on all these brands and what is trendy among the aristocrats. Other gossip about the royals I don't care. They are only humans like everybody else. And if it is not interesting to me I don't read it and pass to the next comment.

    2. Anon 11:28. I don’t quite understand the point you’re making.
But don’t worry, it’s been pointed out to me many times that I’m not too bright and that I’m “two bricks short of being a house”.
Are you saying that there’s too much fashion and things related to fashion on this blog ?

The botanical print is very striking and really makes Mathilde stand out in the crowd. I couldn't wear this outfit but I like it on her. She is tall so she can wear almost anything and look good. Sandra
