Wow, love the green gown on her. Not everyone can wear a number structured like that but Meghan has the perfect figure for it.
I also like the cape. Pairing it with leggings and knee high boots makes for a chic ensemble.

That kind of green suits her perfectly, same colour as in the dress she wore for prince Louis's christening. Looks like a happy occasion, I'm glad for them! Nice to see them here on the blog too. (And this time I won't read the haters' comments, that would be too depressing.)

Yes, they wanted to chose when the press can have pictures of them. They didn't want the British press/royal rota to choose this for them. This is one of those moments the press is allowed so no privacy issue this time. You can read about it on their website. Damsel Dragonfly

I agree, they said they wanted to live a private life, then have remained in the limelight ever since. Sad that they could possibly have done a lot of good, instead they destroy most every project they touch. Hurting Rachel's family, then Henry's family, with such vitriol is sad they cannot be truthful with themselves and make a turn-around in life.

No, Anonymous 23:50, they did not want privacy. That is the tired old gong rung to death by hostile The Daily Mail and picked up by others to get clicks and laughs. They wanted independence, which they have achieved. They are not funded by the UK or royal family.

They never said that. You are spreading british tabloids narrative. Meghan:-They've created a false narrative. I've never talked about privacy...She said she and Harry only wanted the same basic right to privacy as anyone would expect to be given — only sharing those parts of their lives that they feel “comfortable” with sharing. When this narrative was spreading by the press when their nextflix documentary came out their spoke person said:-Their statement announcing their decision to step back mentions nothing of privacy and reiterates their desire to continue their roles and public duties. Any suggestion otherwise speaks to a key point of this series. They are choosing to share their story, on their terms, and yet the tabloid media has created an entirely untrue narrative that permeates press coverage and public opinion. The facts are right in front of them.” so can we please stop spreading this false narrative. It doesn't get more true if you keep saying it. Have to congrats to the people following the royal rotas lies from the news papers Harry blacklisted and will have nothing to do with based on their...right, LIES!

.........."Hurting Rachel's family"?........ If your half sister accept money from the gutter press to tell lies about you, what would you do ? If you write a personal letter to your father and you can read the content of that letter the day after in the press, what would you think ? Since they are still in the running they seem to have projects which are not destroyed yet. Since they are independents sometimes a project cannot be achieved while another one has success. That is called business. I think they are doing very well and they proved they are adult enough to earn their own money. There is a lot of jealousy among those who are still locked up in a life which has been calculated for them and in which they can just do what is expected of them, but in which they may not/cannot show any personal initiative.

Anonymous18/2/24 06:13 There is no viciousness of the British Press. Henry has an axe to grind, has never gotten over his mother’s death, thinking it was the press that pushed her into the limo where she did not use a seatbelt. Press are all over the world, they can be nice, yet intrusive. Henry took offence to anyone with a camera, yet he courts the camera to toss his sour grapes at his family, hurting them. She uses the camera/media to do the same to her family, as well as Henry's family. Denying that what they are doing is hurting everyone, including their children as they grow, will get them nowhere in the long run.

Henry and Rachel's speech is always fully loaded with 'their recollections' or insinuations, rather than being truthful, as they use their words to incite division, hurt other people, and then take the 'we are the victim' status, when it is clear they are not. This is my personal opinion, gathered from articles on various news sites including but not limited to he APA, BBC, The Guardian etc

@Anon 16:05 Personal opinions, indeed. You aren't the best student. The British press you are referring to are known for being vicious. To state otherwise shows your bias. There is no need for me to take your assertions point by point. You are desperate to state your opinion and win your argument, which you keep doing, even to the point of misstating the most basic facts. For example, Diana was not in a limo. Why do you insist on spewing your irrelevant, non-fashion commentary on a fashion blog? This is a YOU problem. YOU are making the choice to come here and read the comments. YOU are making the choice to engage with others. Personally, I think you still hear a laugh track in your head every time you call them by the alternative names you have chosen for them. I think you are still trying for acknowledgment of your dumb joke. That would explain why you have nothing new to say and continue to regurgitate the same thing we have heard for years.

In Africa ways of life, Harry and Meghan would already be considred as a cursed couple. Shame on people, especially older persons and parents in Europe and America , who keep on giving them a kind of platforms. You're promoting abuse and disrespect against families.

    20. It’s wild that for some reason when it comes to *this couple* people stop understanding what privacy means.

A few years ago when an intrusive paparazzo was following Prince William and his family when they were on a bike ride near their home and he yelled at the paparazzo, people understood privacy. They understood that Prince William can be a public figure and still be entitled not to have his family be followed and harassed while not a public event. No one criticized Prince William for protecting his family or demanded that he live the life of a hermit because he rightfully expects to keep some elements of his life private.

Yet, that is the black and white expectation people like you have for Prince Harry. In fact, you’ve even put words in his mouth in order to rationalize implying he’s a hypocrite (according to *your* double standard). Because he didn’t list living a private life as a reason for leaving his job as a working royal. Go check his press release on the issue; it’s still available online. However, even if he had, he would still be entitled to the same level of basic decency extended to Prince William. And you’re telling on yourself that you won’t extend that same decency to him and his wife.

I think the cape would look better styled the way shown on the model. I like Meghan’s hair with a side part. I do not care for the olive color of her gown, but it seems to be a color she likes. The Royal Rota is made up of a select group of media representatives that are invited to attend and report on royal events, with the understanding that the news and photographs taken at the event will be freely shared with other members of the media. This pool system decreases the number of media representatives that would otherwise attend, which helps to alleviate space and security concerns. https://newsmediauk.org/industry-services/royal-rota/

The gown is tricky to wear as it should fit your body. Meghan wears it wonderfully. The colour suits her too. I love her camel coat, super on the model, a bit less on Meghan as i wonder if it’s better with a smaller size for her to fit more?

    8. Dearest fellow commentators on this topic: I fail to see how it is "hiding hate" and "jealousy" when voicing a dislike of a certain garment on a channel focussing mainly on fashion. I did say nothing about Meghan as a person, nothing about her character, or conduct, not a word about her relation to her husband and the royal family. Nothing of that sort. I just said that the dress is quite hideous. That was all. Just FYI - I also might (and already did!) criticise other wearers featured on this blog, no matter who they are, when I think their outfits are an eye-sore. That is what this blog is truly about. Fashion and what we think about it.

@Anon 15:11 You have it reversed. It is always better to be overdressed than to be underdressed. Being underdressed suggests not caring or giving the occasion much thought. I'm sure you have noticed that royals, in particular, are better dressed than most of the people they visit. It does not mean to dress in such a way to shame the dress of others, just to err on the side of upping your fashion a little when not quite sure.

Autumn Phillips (Canadian) the daughter-in-law of Princess Anne, after 13 years of marriage to Peter Phillips, has now left the British Royal Family.
It seems, for the moment, it’s only the Australians e.g. Queen Mary of Denmark, who are able to adapt to the dramatic cultural and life change.

The fashion industry and fashion culture are a real thing, generating billions of dollars in sales around the globe. Only the truly uncultured among us would reduce a designer garment to 'hideous'. Imagine fashion Week in any location (that employs hundreds) referred to as 'trendy'.
The point is that 'hideous' shows a lack of self expression/character or the use of voyeurism to look into the struggles of a family that has not asked you to take sides, and take swipes at the one who you have been told is out of favor.
Why is the dress hideous? Fabric, silhouette, color? waiting.....
