On February 1, 2024, Queen Camilla attended a service of celebration held on the occasion of the 850th anniversary of St John's Foundation at Bath Abbey in Bath. St John's Foundation, originally founded as a medieval refuge, provides shelter and support for older adults. The foundation also provides service to children to make sure that they have the best start in life.
At the 16th century Chapel of St Michael Within, the Queen joined residents of St John’s Foundation's almshouses. Queen Camilla, as Duchess of Cornwall, became patron of the charity in 2009.
Lovely Lady!

DeleteAs ever! Agree! HRH Queen CAMILLA is a very very real asset to the royal family!!!
Deleteshe keeps smiling even when the media were cruel, her step son humiliating her, blamed for breaking Diana's marriage. She keeps smiling, i like her for her resilience.

@Anon 17:54 Were you so desperate to make a comment that you blurted out anything? She is actually wearing a lovely coat. I wish she would wear this style more often and transition out of her other coats that I do not think flatter her. So many positives to remark on, yet you go to the gutter. She made choices, and understood the consequences. Now leave it alone.
DeleteTo Anonymous 15:02: Queen Camilla is HM (Her Majesty) and not HRH. Renée
DeleteLa couleur aubergine de ce nouveau manteau lui sied à merveille ; bon choix que son petit foulard coloré en soie !
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful coat. I think she only has one coat with an up-to-date cut. She looks so much better in a straight coat instead of those with a wide skirt.
ReplyDeleteCamilla is working to cover Charles during his convalescence. She is in her late 70s, and the late Queen who was committed to her role till the very end. Fair play to her, and all due respect to her. All this only confirm the Wales attitude, William the heir in this case!!

Agree. Appreciate Kate’s exceptional circonstances, but the Wales are known for being the laziest of the royals in the UK. They’re only taking the advantage of their role and do as little as possible in general.

@ Susie. What you say is A LOAD OF RUBBISH
DeleteAgree on the Wales’ lack of engagement in work. The laziness of the young generation enjoying the luxury of idleness.
DeleteAnna
@ deadeggs : as active members of the british royals, William 175 engagements, his wife 128 in a year (2023). So roughly 2/3 of the time not on duty. While Princess Ann, the King, the Queen who are all over 70s work twice more with over 400 per year. The Wales can be the most popular with their smiles and glamour but still the laziest.

Susie, that is a stupid thing to say. They are parents of young children and I admire them very much for taking a hands-on approach to their parenting. Their children will be better off for having been brought up mainly by their parents, with an assist by the nanny, instead of the other way around. You only get a few precious years with your children before they are grown. Their lives will change drastically once William becomes king -- a decision he had no say in. You also seem to think if they aren't seen publicly, they aren't working. A good deal of work and planning goes on behind the scenes. They also do work that is never made public. Going to tabloids to support your asinine statement says it all.

DeleteThank you for the information.
However, there is no category amongst the statistics for working royals with a young family.
Of the royals surveyed, William and Kate are the only ones with a young family.
There is no other working royal couple with a young family to do a comparison.
I commend William and Kate for giving more time to their children, who are at an important age, rather than passing over the responsibility to nannies and grandparents whilst they carry out royal engagements.
We only have our children for a small part of their pre teen years then from about 15 years of age, they start to be independent and no longer need us.
Queen Mary of Denmark was lucky to be a mum for her four kids before she took on the role of Queen of Denmark.
I’m sure King Charles is happy to see his grandchildren having a simple family life which he and his siblings were deprived of.
I hope for the next ten years or so, William and Kate do less formal royal work and spend all the time they can with their children.
Call them lazy if you wish but I congratulate them and hope even more time is available to them for their family.
This coat looks fabulous, love the color and the addition of a belt and not a zipper. The colorful silk scarf is a welcome addition.

ReplyDeleteGreat coat, nice color to. Q Camilla is very busy with the King on the sick list, for a short while. css
ReplyDeleteQC looks fabulous here! Love her whole look is great. The best thing here--her genuine warmth and kindess as well as the joy she is bringing to everyone. You can see how happy people are to see their Queen. She really is a lovely and gracious lady!
