This is a very sombre looking pantsuit. It's a bit depressing in the winter like an outfit you would wear to a funeral. It needs some bright accessorization (jewelry or scarf) to brighten it up.

You obviously do not know or understand European fashion. Monochrome black is not a somber statement, especially considering the fabric that has been used for this suit.

Lucky Europe has more than just a black winter look.

Black can be worn year round. It is a very chic color. Letizia looks fantastic in this beautifully fitting suit.

Yes but if you wear almost always black or black and white or light grey and black or navy, it is a bit too much of the same and becomes very quickly too dark and dull. It is also a habit in countries like France, Italy, Spain, Greece that ladies easily wear black all year around. I also like black more on a blond lady than on someone with dark hair. Black is a color that makes you look old very quickly.

I do not think black makes Queen Letizia look old, on contrary the whole outfit is on point and makes her look confident putting a focus on her glow.

  10. Même si ce look sobre est élégant, il aurait mérité une touche de couleur . De nouvelles boucles d'oreilles à l'occasion de la Saint Valentin ? J'aimerais mieux les voir ?!

I wish Queen Letizia would use less eye makeup, it would give her a much softer look. When you look at old photos, you can see the difference between then and now.

    1. Claro, las diferencias son de 20 años. ¿Usted no cambia?
Los ojos de Letizia siguen siendo preciosos y en un evento nocturno todo el mundo se maquilla un poco más, sobre todo si van a estar bajo docenas de focos.

I don´t care that fashion dictates wide trousers at the moment. This is a super elegant outfit and I love the fit of the pants. She is also one of few people who can wear a jacket with brest flaps.

I do miss QL wearing stilettos. It always just brought her outfit together. That said,I so understand her need for comfort! Bea

Isn'it funny, you prefer QL in stilettos. When Queen Mathilde is wearing stilettos with her more or less formal looks, some comments prefer her rather classic outfits with low heels. I say, as long as you can wear stilettos why not. With age automatically the high stilettos disappear from you shoe closet. Lucky for people who cannot walk any more with that type of shoes there are more and more lower heels on the market.
