Queen Maxima of The Netherlands is making a four-day visit to Colombia from 25 to 28 February in her capacity as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA). The main themes of her visit are financial health and further promotion of access to safe and affordable financial services.
On the first day of her visit, Queen Maxima visited three projects near Medellín that provide digital financial products for specific target groups, Avista, Cooperativa and SiembraViva. In Medellín, Dutch Queen Maxima met with representatives of Bancolombia and spoke about its financial services.
Natan Tunox Skirt
I love this smart casual working outfit on Maxima. It is perfect for the warm Columbian weather, and is synchronized I suspect with some of the less flashy areas that her business work takes her. The print of the Natan skirt is lovely paired with the simple white top, and her Hermes slippers look good with this simpler look.
ReplyDeleteShe may be a Queen in her other life, but here she is a hard working 'every day' looking type of woman. Well done.

I agree, this good look for Q.Max. The colour palette is very neutral but there’s texture in the skirt and bag that add interest to the outfit. (V.M.)
DeleteI agree, a very nice outfit.

DeleteShe’s such a good role model for the woman of this time. And she looks casual and happy. Her outfit’s so relaxing. Her earrings are fun! Ac
ReplyDeleteShe's simply the best 🧡🧡🧡
DeleteI like this skirt. It looks much better with these sandals rather than the surgical looking ones she wore last time

Finally the people behind the comments seem to understand the more casual look of Queen Maxima when on working visit for the UN. I think her outfit is adapted to the warm climate and to the environment she is visiting. Love her sandals.
ReplyDeleteThats the point, the sandals (even Hermes) are a bit too casual, like a walk at the beach
DeleteWhat must she wear then ? Her white sandals, which are more closed she cannot not wear according to some people on this blog. If you are on your feet during a big part of the day in a hot climate the best you can wear are sandals. Even if you are wearing closed sneakers with no holes in it, your feet will come out swollen.
DeleteOn picture N° 3 Queen Maxima hold her arms crossed in front of her body. Hallo body language experts no comments yet ? Here we can clearly see a queen who is interested in and pay attention to what the local people are explaining to her. I was right about Prince Daniel and CP Victoria when they were listening with great interest to an explanation during their visit to Palo Alto, California. They crossed their arms too.
ReplyDeleteSad, she is not a good role model when she, as the Queen cannot present herself without a hairbrush in sight. It is the outward things people see, make instant judgements good/bad/indifferent on. If her hair was was on a non royal, they would be passed over in a heart beat. She is intelligent, has a good smile, seems to communicate well, but no matter how smart you are, the appearance is what people see first. The least she can do is simply pull the hair back in a low ponytail as she did upon her arrival in the country. Take less than a minute, and makes her appear more clean cut, ready to tackle whatever engagement she is going to. Simple, it simple. jane
ReplyDelete@Anon 13:40 Jane: Maxima is not present on this visit as a royal. She is a working woman for the UN, indistinguishable from countless other Colombian corporate working women. When she is working for the UN such as this visit, "Queen" is just a title, not a role, so I give her some leeway.
DeleteToday she met with the Finance minister and was very smartly dressed in a fab green suit. Her hair was great too. She knows how to dress when it is appropriate.

Anonymous27/2/24 17:31 too bad you can't follow blog rules stated above, use a name, or nickname. I happen to agree with Jane.
Delete@Anon 21:07 How about following your own advice first and practice what you preach before you dish it out to others. I don't see YOU having a name. Too bad that you seem to have difficulty reading, as my nickname is 'Anon 9:13' and has been for years on this blog. And since you agree with Jane, my comments to her apply to you as well.
DeleteThanks
