On Thursday afternoon, January 25, Queen Maxima paid a working visit to Design Academy Eindhoven, a higher professional education institution specialized in design. The Queen made the visit to underline the importance of the development of young design talents. Design Academy Eindhoven (DAE) is one of the world’s leading design schools, recognized internationally for its renowned professors and alumni.
About 800 students from more than 50 countries are currently studying at Design Academy Eindhoven. 600 students attend the four-year bachelor's program and 200 students attend the two-year master's program at the academy.
Hair looks so much better when she styles it like this. It was a good outfit but the thing around the neck and knot on the skirt is puzzling!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great outfit for Queen Maxima, but most of all I like her hairdo today. Simple, clean, yet professional and attractive. She looks fantastic in the two last pictures, those are really good photos of her. Damsel Dragonfly
ReplyDelete100 % Maxima and a nice wink to the Design Academy. Her contemporary necklace's to my liking as well.
ReplyDeleteA most stunning and approachable Queen! MR
ReplyDeleteWow, die Königin sieht fabelhaft aus - und sehr entspannt im Umgang mit Menschen.

Wow! She looks great!
ReplyDeleteNice look for Maxima today her hair and makeup are perfect. Like the necklace, wonder if it is costume jewelry? Maybe a little color to the all gray would have made a splash. css
ReplyDeleteNothing particularly strikes me about the outfit, neat, unfussy, hair up but blimey she opened the jewellery box and decided to put it all on today. Km
ReplyDeleteLovely Queen. She looks great!
ReplyDeleteJoliment coiffée avec ses cheveux relevés, Maxima a sorti de son écrin à bijoux un collier original que je ne lui ai jamais vu ; que vient faire cette sorte de noeud sur le côté gauche de sa jupe ?!
ReplyDeleteI like the gray color of Maxima’s outfit. I do not like her necklace, which looks much too large for this outfit to me, but I can see why she might have thought a design academy was a good place to wear it. I like the ring on her right hand.

The last 2 pictures are magnificent…a burst of life & laughter in the last one, how lovely. JJ
ReplyDeleteLove her hair, makeup, earrings, and sweater--all are perfect. Do not like the necklace at all and I also don't like the drapey thingwith too much fabric on the skirt. I get she's visiting a fashion school and was maybe looking for a avant-gard type of look but these 2 items took a potentially very chic look and removed that flair.

Queen Maxima looking very smart and professional in this grey outfit--I'm not a fan of grey, although it's better than beige!! Nice hair today and the the necklace is perfect to cheer up the plainness of the sweater.
ReplyDeleteThe last 2 photos are sensational, stunning. Love her hair done in this way. The outfit looks superb.
ReplyDeleteSuperb hairstyle!!!
ReplyDeleteMax looks great here.
ReplyDeleteFantastic look, together with very stunning necklace, perfect make-up and hair. And of course her radiant smile
ReplyDeleteI ♥️ her smile !
ReplyDeleteWow and superb - really!! In the first photo she looks as though she has slept in the coat it is so creased. The `outfit` is smart as as school uniform is smart. An ironing crease on the jumper sleeve is a real no no. No doubt money was spent on the skirt and coat but she really should ask for material that travels well good fine wool does not crease. I like the necklace it is what a drab outfit needs.
ReplyDeleteAnd Willem-Alexander likes a worm burger! ( ate it last week)
ReplyDeleteMaxima looks a ten in this outfit ( and the hair!).

DeleteQue voulez-vous dire dans votre commentaire qui concerne cette visite de travail de Maxima ?
Says a lot what they eat at home!

I think Queen Maxima must have a very large dressing room where she can store all her old clothes until she needs them again. With a new necklace and bracelet she can wear again a skirt she has for ages. She has the same skirt in camel.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see she engaged a hairdresser today. NOW she looks like a professional, and royal, wait, except for the wrinkled coat. Though it could be down to sitting to long in a vehicle, or the type of fabric. Edwina
ReplyDeleteFabulous hair and necklace!
ReplyDeleteLove that necklace.
DeleteIt’s been borrowed from her sister-in-law.
It’s got Princess Laurentien’s fingerprints all over it.
Queen Max has hit a winner today.
Love the monochromatic grey outfit, love the hair and especially love the necklace - the perfect touch for the otherwise sober ensemble. Well done!

Maxima’s necklace is from a jewellery designer know as Celedonio.
ReplyDeleteHe is based in Maxima’s native Buenos Aires, Argentina.
She has worn some of his work before. You may remember the spider brooches.
I’m sure we will see a lot more of his work as his flamboyancy matches Maxima’s personality.
It says in his profile that he avoids working with gold and diamonds.
If you’ve got the time, take a look at an interview with him via……

It's in Spanish but you can click to have it in English.
p.s. he’s quite a good looking man, what I would call “yummy”.
I do not think she looks good in gray and that necklace with a turtleneck is overdone and inappropriate. At least her hair is up.
