Today on January 20, 2024, Belgium's Queen Mathilde is celebrating her 51st birthday. Mathilde is the first Belgian-born Queen of the Belgians and she has four children, namely, Crown Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel and Princess Eleonore. On the occasion of the birthday, the Royal House of Belgium released two new photos. The photos were taken by Vlad Vanderkelen in the garden of the Castle of Laeken.
Great pictures but a little too much filters, photoshop perharps?
ReplyDeleteAgree; imo particular in the 'dental field' ... the 'white smile' is too overwhelming in the pictures. Fashion wise QM looks very nice in this casual outfit.
DeleteNo, dear. That effect is possible when using the settings on the camera instead of shooting in auto.
DeleteI don't think there has been done much photoshop, if you look carefully at her forehead you can see her wrinkles.
DeleteFunny how no one says the same thing about Kate’s photoshopped photos and “too white teeth”.
DeleteI don’t know why you imagine these are more photoshopped than the average royal pics.

Agree Petra. Look at Kates 40 year old birthday photos. Not a wrinkle to be seen in a million miles.
DeleteYes I agree about the filters/lighting. Although Mathilde does look lovely in this casual outfit - she always gives off a kind and gentle vibe in photos - I imagine her personality to match. JJ
DeleteSince she resembles my sister-in-law I've always liked her. I wish her a wonderful birthday!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so pretty and natural. Very at ease, comfortable, and casual. I love the lack of formality and her little dog in the background. Charming.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Lovely photos

She looks natural and beautiful. Love what she is wearing, a casual, elegant outfit. The boots are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. Queen Mathilde looks beautiful and relaxed in her comfy outfit.
ReplyDeleteThe "Japanese Tower" of Laken and one of the family dogs, the white one in the background.
Happy birthday your majesty.
What a nice pic of Q Mathilde. css
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of Queen Matilde, and I love the stylish outfit, but I wish she had a different hairstyle. Either shoulder-length with soft waves or a layered shorter cut. She’s a very pretty lady but I think her hairstyle is usually boring. Imo.
ReplyDeleteHer hairstyle is not boring at all. With her length she can still do her hair up, if she must wear a tiara. Queen Mathilde had different hairstyles in the past also the ones you suggest. I think the hairstyle that suits her the best is the one she actually has. She cannot wear her hair like a teenager and a "layered short cut" would be very difficult if she must wear a tiara.
DeleteShe is an elegant and sophisticated person and her hairstyle matches her fashion choices. She is not the kind of person that would wear her hair in a quick bun or a pony tail before going out in the morning.
Well 14:22 I find that Mathilde has a boring and old lady hairstyle. We have Queen Sonja, The Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, Princess Beatrix, Queen Sofia. Even the late Queen Elisabeth and Princess Diana with shorter hair. QSonja has a updo with tiara even if she has a younger, shorter and more fashionable hairstyle then Mathilde. So did Diana. So the tiara comment is a miss. Anna.
