Belgium's King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are currently in Davos and participating in the annual meeting of World Economic Forum. On the second day of the World Economic Forum, Queen Mathilde met with some social entrepreneurs from the Schwab Foundation. The Queen then participated in a roundtable discussion with international experts, which was about 'Mental health/mental wealth'.
Yesterday evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde attended the Belgian reception at the "Belgium House" in Davos. King Philippe and Queen Mathilde met with Bill Gates, guest of honor of Belgium and co-chairman of the Gates Foundation.
Elégant manteau/cape qui se combine bien avec le rouge de sa tenue !
ReplyDeleteVery elegant today. css
ReplyDeleteLovely, elegant outfit. She looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde is elegant as always. The red color of her top and pants are a fresh note among the mostly dark outfits of the participants. Her black evening suit by Armani is beautiful too, when she buttons up the jacket. There are better pictures of the evening reception on other sites. On certain pictures it looks like Queen Mathilde is freezing now and then.
ReplyDeleteYes to the day red outfit, less to the black suit. She should wear it with a colored top; could be any color except gray.
ReplyDeleteThe top is not grey but silver.
DeleteI think the grey/silver is very sofisticated.
DeleteAs with Maxima, too much of one colour is, well, just too much. The black outfit seems to fussy with the blouse she wore. Edwina
ReplyDeleteNot at all. And I love monochrome looks.
Deletel feel that for this WEF top the coat over the shoulders by QM is totally out of place; this despite the fact that I like it in itself. One arrives at a conference hall and leave a coat at the cloakroom. If one expects that it can be chilly in the meeting room, one puts on a sweater or jacket or carries a shawl with you
ReplyDeleteIf you compare Queen Mathilde with the other participants, I think she is dressed very well. It is not up to you to say how other people must wear their coats. Or when they have to wear what. It is not the first time that she is there or at United Nations Conferences. I suppose she knows when/where it is warm or cold.
Delete@Anonymous19/1/24 10:39: and that's my point exactly: she's been there numerous times, so why have a coat over the shoulders indoors??? There are more options to deal with heat/cold and that's why I find it out of place in this case
DeleteGates, Kerry. Blinken, Gore all of them in Davos, sitting with Royals and others. Making rules for US, NOT for THEMSELVES. Pushing EV's in the USA everything frozen, no EV is driving, or can be charged?? now what? Maybe something else froze too. Kerry called it misinformation, really. Freezing in the USA.
ReplyDeleteWhat is EV or EVs ? sorry for my ignorance.
ReplyDelete@ MaryT
DeleteI think she or he meant Electric or Electronic Vehicle.
