  1. Très intelligente cette initiative qui fait participer les enfants qui sont vraiment adorables ; chaque fois que je vois le prince Louis, je ne peux que craquer ; plus tard, il va certainement faire chavirer beaucoup de coeurs !

  3. This is really lovely. Diana did similar things with W&H - taking them to see the reality of life in the world outside of their circle. The video is also really nice:

  4. Sometimes I don't know why an 8- year old child has to where a cashmere sweater. First they grow out of it qiuickly and then I think it's a bit inappropriate in the context of helping poor people. It doesn't mean that they should go in sackcloth and ashes, but I find it at least questionable. Same goes for Kate here. Frieda

    1. The children were probably dressed as they usually are. The composition is furthermore not writen on it. Same goes for Catherine. Their clothing is normal day clothing.

    2. The sweater is 95% cotton and 5% cashmere. The tiny bit of cashmere is added for softness. Charlotte is not wearing a cashmere sweater. Was it necessary to make a post about how inappropriate it is for a child to wear a cashmere sweater without being sure of what you were saying? There are so many positive things to say here, yet this is what you chose to go with? So much for the spirit of the season.

    3. I suppose i understand your point. But what could the PoW and her children have worn that would have been "acceptable" for this visit ?
I remember when the late Diana Princess of Wales met with Mother Theresa and her Sisters of Charity at their convent in NYC.

In the famous photo of the tall Diana stooping to say goodbye to the tiny nun, Diana is wearing a gorgeous tailored suit and high heel pumps by Chanel.

Even when they dress simply Royals wear expensive quality clothes. It is what it is.

    4. You have a valid point. That said, they might have gone to the baby bank after school, or before going out for dinner. We don't know the whole context. Christine

    5. From the Cyrillus website, the sweater appears to cost around $43-$50 (USD) depending on size. That doesn’t seem crazy exorbitant to me. I wonder if they sometimes pass on hand-me-downs to Pippa’s daughters or maybe Zara’s younger daughter.

    6. I think that criticizing an 8yo child for wearing a sweater that contains only 5% cashmere, and berating her mother too when they are doing such acts of kindness is more than a bit excessive, bordering on the ridiculous. Louis' cotton or woolen fairisle sweater probably cost more - is that a crime? Everyone lives according to their means, and for this family who is worth millions or even billions, their clothing choices in this instance are extremely modest. They are not there to show off their clothes and they aren't. Their work is the focus.

  5. This seems like such a good, age-appropriate, hands-on activity to involve the children in.

  7. The Reiss sweater Kate is wearing is lovely. The white colour is refreshing in cold weather and the cashmere is so luxurious. It can be worn casual as shown at this event but you could also dress it up as shown on the model. It looks great with white or black.
