On Sunday 24 December, Queen Margrethe attended the Christmas Eve church service at Aarhus Cathedral together with her family. Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent, Princess Josephine, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie, Count Henrik and Countess Athena were present.
After this service, on December 25, the whole family will celebrate Christmas at Marselisborg Castle, where Danish Queen Margrethe has been staying since December 20.

ReplyDeleteWhy shouldn't they???
DeleteThanks @Anon 09:15 for this important news scoop.
Delete9:15 are you trying to tell us that you went for the medias bs narrativ? I guess the cp couple holding hands are trying to send a message of how much crap they have been writing lately just to make a buck. Stop believing everything you read.
DeleteIt looks so cold all are well dressed love the winter coats fashion etc looks cosy but cold. Mary
ReplyDeleteThey have heated cars, castles and churches, so no worries.
DeleteI don't know how the churches are build in Scandinavia (maybe they use a lot of wood), but in Western Europe sometimes during the Winter when it is an old big church, it can be very cold in the building. Even with central heating it takes long before the temperature is a bit warmer. There are also a lot of churches where the parish bought sisal carpets to cover the old stone floors, to prevent to have cold feet during mass or ceremony. Now with the climate crisis the price of the heating is not cheap, everybody is advised to slow down the temperature compared to the previous years. For the moment it is still stormy weather in Northern and Western Europe. It is not that cold in Western Europe but it rains day and night. The humidity makes it cold. In Northern and Central Europe it is freezing and snowing too.
Delete18:22 don't the churches in scandinavia is not cold. The heating is working just fine. Warm and cozy ;)
DeleteI know that churches can be very cold. However, when the Danish royal family comes to a Christmas service or any service, the church is heated. They get special treatment because they should not freeze. They are royals and should be treated extra well.
DeleteMarie's combination of green top and trousers and checked coat is superb!
ReplyDeleteI agree! The whole group looks great but I think Marie’s outfit pops the most, especially that beautiful black watch coat!
DeleteMarie’s outfit is fabulous. Athena is such a pretty girl…she really takes after Marie.
DeleteMary's coat blows wide open, it must be very windy. -Anna-
ReplyDeleteYou can see blowing hair, too. I think it must also be wind making Queen Margrethe's skirt look so tight. I thought at first she was wearing breeches! I suspect it was just a normal skirt blown tightly against her body, though.
Delete@jonesnori I thought the same thing about the Queen's skirt. I was a little shocked, until I saw the hair as well.

ReplyDeleteThe dress under her coat Mary is wearing is so pretty, I don't recall seeing this before. They all look rugged up, love winter clothes!
ReplyDeleteI think that we have seen this dress before because there were comments that the high split at the front was inappropriate for a crown princess.
DeleteNice coats, it seems pretty windy and cold. Well, this is the time for it. css
ReplyDeleteI like the coats of the royal ladies (except Queen Margrethe's). The winner is Princess Marie on both occasions, followed by Princess Ingrid Alexandra.
ReplyDeleteThe twins Josephine and Vincent are so good looking. Nice to see the whole family gathering at the church together.
