Just like every year, Queen Camilla, patron of Helen & Douglas House and of Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity, invited children receiving support from both charities to the Clarence House in London. The children helped Queen Camilla to decorate the Christmas tree, and enjoyed lunch together with their families in the dining room of the Clarence House.
Santa and the children are the stars here. Fashion plays second place.
ReplyDeleteTop marks to Camilla and others for their work with this children’s charity.
The true spirit of Christmas.
Fashion wise - Camilla’s frock and boots are O.K.
p.s. The King and Camilla seem to be staying ‘put’ in Clarence House and using this lodgement for their london living and entertaining needs.
It’s only a stone’s throw away from Buckingham Palace but it looks like (Buckingham Palace) could be classified as one of their second homes.
I believe Buckingham Palace is in the midst of undergoing a huge restoration and that King Charles has chosen to delay moving into the palace for that reason. Janet
DeleteThanks for the info @Janet.

Santa is early this year. He just missed his colleague Saint Nicolas/Sint Nicolaas who comes to visit the children in the BeNeLux, France, Spain, Italy, ... and maybe some more countries in Europe on December 6. But on December 25 the children in these countries are expecting also : le père Noël, de Kerstman, or Santa like he is called in Britain and the US.
ReplyDeleteA repeated dress that looks good here. It could be a bit shorter but that’s a small quibble. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteLa couleur malachite de cette robe déjà portée lui sied à merveille même si quelques centimètres plus courts seraient beaucoup mieux par rapport à ses bottes !
ReplyDeleteVelvet is a great choice for this occasion for sure. The green suits Camilla, too - and it looks particularly cozy with the coat on top. Wonderful event and the Queen seems to enjoy it, too.

Its beautiful to see the work of this children's charity. To bring some sunshine into the children's lives, God love them. Its very moving watching and seeing their reactions. Its so heartbreaking to see the situation these little ones face, my heart goes out to them. Thet Queen did a splendid job. What a true meaning to Christmas.
ReplyDelete@Ava,
Deleteyou put exactly my thoughts down in words.
Nothing more to say.
Q.Camilla has let these little angels' dreams come true.
An enormous credit to her.
QC looks marvelous--I love her deep, Christmasy green velvet dress. She is doing such a wonderful thing hosting this event every year for these children and their families! It must be very challenging emotionally for her since so many of the children suffer from fatal illnesses.Yet, there she is, hugging the children, helping them decorate the tree, full of smiles and cheer. Seeing Camilla here, as she is every year, makes me admire her tremendously.
