On December 5, 2023, King Charles and Queen Camilla, accompanied by the Prince and Princess of Wales, welcomed ambassadors and other foreign officials residing in London to Buckingham Palace. During this Diplomatic Reception, which is held annually, the King and Queen and other members of the Royal Family met with more than 500 members of the Diplomatic Corps in the State Rooms of the Buckingham Palace.
Jenny Packham Georgia Sequin Gown
Gorgeous, pure elegance. No pushy Princess here, she knows her place and respects it.
ReplyDeleteKate Englands future Queen ♥️
ReplyDeleteBritain's Queen, please! She will be Queen of Scots and Wales and Ulster too
DeleteCatherine looks like a godess!
ReplyDeleteKate's dress is gorgeous. I like it better on Kate than I did on Mary, when she turned 50. - Ellie
ReplyDeleteFor Qn Camilla I don't reallly understand how the embelishment works, and why the apparently short gloves, her gown looks nice. I am not fan of the color of Ps Catherine's gown.
ReplyDeleteShe might have worn the gloves because of all the handshaking involved with this reception.
DeleteShe could and should use hand sanitizer. The gloves look like a copy cat of the Queen. I think those days have ended with the Queen's passing.
DeleteEven very expensive, the Jenny Peckham’s gown looks ‘cheap’, colour wise and the sparkling. No class.
ReplyDeleteCamilla is a winner here with her white gown.
J.
The dress looks like its wraped i plastic. Thats whats makes it look cheap.
DeleteI love. Catherine.s dress very much, wouldn’t call is cheap looking, you may not like it but cheap……that’s a bit exaggerated.
DeleteAgree !!
DeleteGood point Elli 15:14. Well said.

Dear @ Anonymous yesterday at 11:28.
Deleteyes, I now by know that seeing Catherine so beautiful, classy, wealthy and in full regalia causes you pain.
Good news for you.
Try to wach videos/ pics where Q.Camilla' s equerry is seen decorating a Christmas tree with his sword.
Believe me, he is a really handsome fellow and an eye- candy for you to look at.
Keep dreaming.
Cheer up for a while.
Hope that you can read and understand my short, meaningful, crystal clear comment.
I would do anything to make you happy, you know👍
* I know by now...
Delete@ P. the original
DeleteCan you simply be polite, courtoise and respect others’ various opinions please ? Why such virulent reverting back if a viewpoint does not align with yours when it comes to Kate ? I know by now you put her on the top of the pedestal but I find all your (long) comments very unpleasant / unfriendly to read - at all the Kate’s blog !!
Mary
@Anonymous starring as Mary this time
DeleteYou know, your comment resonates rather ridiculous and paradoxical given that you are the first person who attacks other bloggers over their comments on any royal lady whatsoever in all your possibile unfriendly rude ways.
You lack bad manners and this is a fact and a truism.
What pedestal and Kate's blog are you talking about?
Calm down and try to wash your blues away, please.
I was lampooning you once again but you still lack inferring skills and language knowledge so that you cut poor figures with your mindless unkind replies.
It is a given that you hate beautiful wealthy women , which is just what royal ladies are, as a matter of fact.
If you can't t stand them, you should consider steering your attention to someone/something else
No educated person would ever say that a royal lady has no class or wears plus size clothes (just another way of bodyshaming someone), looks photoshopped and so on because all civilized and well brought up people agree about this being extremely bad form.
But you have nerve and still carry on seething with rage and thinking aloud when you see a lady who- I' m pretty sure about It by now- is much younger than you , undoubtedly more beautiful and better dressed than you will ever hope to be.
Selling others your despise over beautiful women dressed in clothes you will never happen to buy and wear yourself and making others believe it's just your different view ( you call it an 'opinion', fancy that!) is a desperate attempt to manipulate your own real thoughts.
Sorry, I do not buy your false statements.
Just keep your hate thoughts and speech to yourself and try to live according to normal' behavioural rules and patterns, please.
Of course, you' ll never catch the meaning of my words.
You will surely reverse the sense of my comment as always ( you often happens to do the same with other bloggers' comments) and write back one of your senseless hilarious replies cutting increasingly poor figures..
Try to invest your time improving YOUR very moot manners and language skills instead .
As I have already told you in the past, you can't claim respect for yourself if you give none to others.
And you can't have my respect either.
Note:
the length of my comments has never been an issue to clever people but your incapability of understanding them is clearly one of your problems..
Très joli ce bijou de corsage que j'aurais bien vu sur une robe rouge ; ravissante Kate avec les cheveux lâchés qui font plus naturel qu'un chignon !
ReplyDeleteBoth Catherine and Camilla look regal and appropriate for this distinguished reception. Both gowns are pretty. I love Catherine's 'hair with tiara' styled this way.
ReplyDelete- Anon 9:13
Is Camilla wearing a christmas decoration on her chest??
ReplyDeleteAgain, it is a stomacher, very beautiful and full of history. e.
DeleteI don’t like saying it but these tiaras, the Girls of Great Britain and the Lovers Knot, looked better on their former owners, the Queen Elizabeth and princess Diana. The gowns are okay. Nothing to write home about.
ReplyDeleteI think these tiaras look equally beautiful on Camille and the current Princess of Wales - Catherine. Both ladies have thick and healthy looking hair, which allows the tiara to "fit" better on the head and to hide its base and show only the diamonds. Diana had short and fine hair, so it was a problem to fix the tiara on the head.
DeleteStephanie
I think Catherine's would look better if she wore it more "upright" on her head instead of like a headband to hold back her hair. Crown Princess Mary had the same "problem" when she first started wearing the ruby tiara. It wasn't until it was altered and the base reshaped for her head that it starting looking like it was properly positioned on her head. Everybody's head is shaped different (and thickness of hair). Just like with her engagement ring which was Diana's, Catherine's finger is not the same size and shape as Diana's was. The sizing and "weight" of the band was altered so that the weight of the sapphire and it's setting wouldn't continuously drop around her finger. Catherine could do with having this tiara - especially the base - restructured to better fit her head since she will probably be wearing it for decades.
DeleteA bit of bedtime reading on the “ Girls of Great Britain and Ireland” tiara and others via …..
Deletehttps://people.com/queen-camilla-tiara-first-queen-elizabeth-favorite-headpiece-girls-great-britain-ireland-tiara-21st-birthday-necklace-8363538
Princess of Wales repeated evening gown is lovely. I don't like Camilla's dress.
ReplyDelete1. Why it must be white again ?
2. Another style please ?
3. Why wearing white gloves inside the building ?
4. What is the weird embellishment in the middle of the bodice ? Is it a brooch ? Looks cheap to me.
Conclusion : This is another dress with a zipper in the front but longer then.
The "embellishment" is a stomacher and really precious, have look to the Royal Collection. e.
Delete1. White is ok with any sash colour, important during state visits.
Delete4. It IS a brooch, a special type called "devant-de-corsage". It was fashionable more than 100 years ago (queens Alexandra and Mary). This type of brooch would look better with round opening without the collar (Catherine's dress type in white or any dark colour - and no sequins). That amount of diamonds is NOT CHEAP!
3. Washable gloves against bacteria (as QEII had)
Margot
Any other royal lady (except) princess Anne is wearing gloves to shake other people's hands. I find it not very polite towards the guests. Why she has to copy QEII, nobody is expecting that. If she is afraid to catch a virus or bacteria there are other means to fight against that. Going discretely to the ladies room i.e. to wash you hand and/or using a gel containing alcohol and anti virus/bacterial products. Besides didn't she took a new anti corona vaccine in October ? It is very recommended for older people. I would not be at ease if I had not take a new injection.
DeleteWhat a showing by the Prince and Princess of Wales! Catherine looks stunning. Love that pink, and with all that sparkle too. William looks quite handsome as well. However, I have no idea what in the world is happening with Camilla's necklace? Dress embellishments?
ReplyDeleteChel
Bald handsome William … no sorry, very rich yes, futur King yes, but he is no longer prince charming 😂
DeleteI think both Camilla and Catherine look beautiful, however I think Catherine’s eye make-up is too dark
ReplyDeleteCatherine´s dress is beautiful although the dusty pink is not my favourite. Tiara placement is great.
ReplyDeleteCatherine looks wonderful - can't fault it from head to toe. For those who find the all-sequin look a little brash, the color saves it and gives it a more subtle quality than if it had been in blues, for instance.
ReplyDeleteBut really, the star is the diminutive Queen Camilla - not only is her gown wonderful, but (Bless her heart!) she has been rifling through the jewel box again and is wearing a piece not seen for decades: Queen Alexandra's diamond tasseled stomacher. Swoon.
I am excited to see Queen Camilla wearing what I have read elsewhere is a diamond stomacher that belonged to the Queen Mother, but I feel the placement on her dress wasn’t quite right - maybe needs to be a little lower. I love the Princess of Wales’ dress on her. The Cambridge Lovers Knot tiara is gorgeous, but I don’t think it’s the most flattering tiara on Catherine - it looks big and heavy to me on her. I would love to see her wear the Cartier Halo tiara (from her wedding day) again.
ReplyDelete-Royal Watcher
The Queen takes the win! The white dress/gloves, beautiful tiara/jewels, paired with that blue sash makes her look like a winter queen! The POW is fine but I don’t think this color is good for her.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone explain why Catherine is wearing her sash in the opposite direction of the King, Camilla, and William?
ReplyDeleteI am not 100% sure, but I think the King, the Queen, and the Prince of Wales may be wearing Order of the Garter sashes, which I believe are worn in a different direction than the Royal Victorian Order sash the Princess of Wales is wearing.
Delete-Royal Watcher
Royal watcher is correct. Camilla, Charles and William have been inducted to the Order of the Royal Garter which is the highest Order and that riband/sash is worn from left to right, with the badge/star placed at the hip. For the men, if wearing white-tie, the riband is worn under the arm (which is why they appear so low as if falling off) and under their waist-coats. Catherine hasn't been inducted into that Order as yet. There can only be 24 in circulation at any given time and so she has to wait her turn until a place becomes available and then, only if and when it is decided to induct her into the Order (which is very likely given that she is a CP).
DeleteCatherine is wearing the sash of the Royal Victoria Order to which she has been inducted, and it (as well as all other Orders except the Order of the Thistle) is worn in the opposite direction - from right to left.

Thank you for the information, Anon 9:13
DeleteBritish royalty at its very best.
ReplyDeleteThey spoil us with there beautifull tiaras and abundant jewelry.
Both Queen Camilla and princess C. wear beautifull elegant stunning dresses.
And then a friendly smile for everyone present…
One couldn’t wish for more.
Mabel
Catherine looks beautiful. Its wonderful to see a rewear of this gorgeous gown. The color is sublime, the embellishments are just enough. Her silver shoes and blush clutch, I love. The diamond earrings are perfect with this gown, stunning pieces. The tiara works in well. Her art deco brooch is really beautiful, a lovely size and again perfect for the gown. Her makeup is on point, I love her hair back off her face. She looks exquisite.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks lovely. I 'm thrilled she has been in the royal vault and found this diamond stomacher, we never knew this existed. I don't like its placement or with this dress. Sitting on the zip of her gown, not dead centre.
Just stunning. Great gown color and Tiara. css
ReplyDeleteStarting with Camilla, I find her look a little mismatched - most items are great individually, but together, it looks a bit random. She looks good in white, but it's boring. The tiara is stunning, but I prefer her larger pieces. The stomacher is lovely, but a bit misplaced... And I really don't like or understand the gloves.
ReplyDeleteAs for Catherine... another mixed bag. The dress is nice. She has the figure to wear it and on her, it looks like a sculpted art piece. But I REALLY wish she'd learn how to do tiara hair. Those aren't headbands! I'm happy she dug in the vault lately and of course the Lover's Knot is a classic, too, but her hair is always so uninspired and ruins the look for me.
-Nika-
Catherine's outfit is nice. The pale shade of color is a little surprising. It makes me think she is downplaying her gown to give something or someone else more emphasis. Camilla's outfit is nice too. Christine
ReplyDeleteCatherine is elegant in the gown and tiara. Personally not fond of the colour of the gown, she has worn better, yet she can carry off most anything she wears. Edwina
