On November 2, The Prince and Princess of Wales, who are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland, visited Moray and Inverness in Scotland to meet organisations supporting rural communities and those working provide mental health support to young people through access to the outdoors and practical learning.
The Prince and Princess first visited Outfit Moray, an award-winning charity delivering life-changing outdoor learning and adventure activity programmes for young people in the area. The Prince and Princess then visited Brodieshill Farm where they met members of the Lower Speyside Young Farmers group and representatives from Farmstrong Scotland.
BURBERRY Check Diamond Quilted Coat
ghastly boots....she has been wearing more and more trousers since the Queen died. It seems like she dressed better then.
ReplyDeleteGone are the days when she used to wear heels to play hockey, football.
DeleteAnother way to say it is that she is dressing more normally now. I can't see anything ghastly about her boots. She is wearing boots that many, many women have.
DeleteThe Future Queen of England is looking very beautiful.
DeleteSorry, but I don’t like this Burberry jacket, Burberry has far more beautiful jackets. The price is ridiculous: 1000 euro !!
ReplyDeleteGlad you have same thought ! can’t understand the choice, apparently her money does not help to have better taste!
DeleteAnna
I especially do like the jacket. It's a real Burberry jacket and I've just checked availability. I don't like the boots. They were fashionable 2 years ago, so she's a bit late. I also don't like the haircut, right from the start. The hairstyle pulls the face down with its fringing. Frieda
DeleteSorry, I'm just not a fan of her new(er) hair cut.
ReplyDeleteThe enter part isn’t a good look, but it is fashionable now. To me it looks like hair curtains. I’m speaking generally, not only on Catherine.
DeleteExactly my thought. The face is covered by her fringe. It is not flattering.
DeleteI love the Burberry jacket. I have heard that William does not want to wear kilts.
ReplyDeleteCatherine's boots are very fashionable among teenagers.
Rose
I like that William doesn't want to wear kilts. It shows that he is doing some things his way. Good for him. Kate's boots are worn by women much older than in their teens. I especially like them with lug soles. Kate is playing it very safe.
DeleteSo sorry that her new hairstyle takes much of her charm away.
ReplyDeleteGreat jacket,
Mabel
I'd say the opposite. I think her hair style suits her but the jacket is ghastly as are the boots (though clearly she needed something like them for the bikes)
DeleteI agree with AnnieM concerning her hair. Love it. Rose
DeleteAgree with Annie about the hairstyle, I like it. As for the jacket: I love Burberry, it is so classic british. But I think one must be tall and slim to wear this jacket, what Catherine is. I for one would not wear it.
DeleteThis may be one of the only times that the POW doesn’t look polished. The pattern on the coat is anging and her hair should be pulled up or back.

I'm not liking this overall look for Kate. The flared jeans should be a tad longer (and worn with different shoes/boots) and that jacket looks like something she borrowed from somebody's grandma.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the event looked like it was fun. So, that's the main thing.
Just my thoughts! Damsel Dragonfly
DeleteStill on the fence whether I like the whole look or not ; yes to a tad longer trousers, yes to the fashionable boots, and the jacket ?? it is Burberry's attempt to innovate, yes also. Burberry doesn't aim at attracting teenagers.
DeleteTotally agree. The whole look is a miss.
DeleteThe jacket is cute and looks warm. I would have preferred a straighter legged trouser and boots that are not so clunky looking.
ReplyDeleteM
Like the jacket. Burberry is always nice to wear. The pant and footwear are not what I expected. css
ReplyDeleteLove this look. For those who say the boots aren’t working for you, I think the point of them is to be dry, comfortable and practical as they’re outside in coolish weather and on bikes! I think she looks really cute, warm and pleased to be there with the kids. The only thing maybe to change would be a couple of centimetres longer on the trousers - but that’s just a tiny niggle in a great look. - AnneLise
ReplyDeleteLug-soled boots are really popular right now. I have some fleece-lined lug-soled boots from La Canadienne. They are waterproof, warm and never slip on icy surfaces. They provide wonderfully sure footing. They would be great for the POW’s event. I don’t love the POW’s pants. They should be a touch longer. I don’t mind the jacket. Her hair would look better pulled back in a pony tail.
DeleteI agree AnneLise. I have the impression that each time Catherine is wearing something casual and up-to-date like the boots i.e., a lot of comments would prefer her to wear stiff clothes and heels when participating in activities like biking or other sports. Prince William is dressed according the circumstances too. Glad to see they are both acting like modern adults dressed according the weather. Rose
DeleteI agree with the above comments. When it comes to royals wearing anything updated, new and modern, the comments are always slanted negative. I can't understand how people on a fashion blog can be so out of touch. Why can't royals dress fashionably? Kate's boots are very tame. The sole could be much more exaggerated and be right in style. I love her jacket. It has some style to it without being too trendy. It is obvious it a Burberry just by looking at it. Her pants are a bit off to me. I'm happy to see her in a bootcut, but the length is not good. For the people that can't stand her hair, I can't help but imagine you as those women that have had the same hair style since you graduated from school, only it is streaked with copious amounts of grey now. Please let these women update their appearance and their attire without so much hate. Most of you don't have a good reason why you don't like something, you just sound like women of a certain age that are stuck in a rut.
Delete"royals wearing anything updated, new and modern, the comments are always slanted negative" very well said ! and I agree with the rest of the comment as well.

DeleteYep, I do agree with you.
It's all about SOME elderly women looking with envy at the most updated fashion trends.
It's all about the incapability of simply accepting that fashion is like a flow , it changes and there's no room for out of touch mindsets.
New trends do not affect only royal ladies but all women in general.
As simple as that.
I have kitchen gloves with the same pattern as her jacket. I do not know if it is a good or a bad thing. I like her shoes and William looks good too.
ReplyDeleteThe Quilted jacket looks good, It must be very warm. She looks lovely, what a great visit.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteWhatever they wear or do they are respectful, lovely couple!
One of the few times I have seen Catherine's overall look rather of a mishmash. Each part is good but not necessarily together. What seems the most off for me is the pairing of the trousers and the boots. Can't decide if it is an issue of length or width. I liked the straight leg trousers she wore yesterday much better with these boots. I love the boots--I have a similar pair and they keep your feet warm because of the heavy sole and they are super comfortable. I can understand why Catherine is wearing them. The Burberry jacket is OK but she has other coats I like better--this one needs some tapering because it looks a too boxy. Given the agenda for the day I can understand why Catherine chose her outfit--comfort, warmth, and ease of movement for the physical things she would be undertaking.
ReplyDeleteJanet
To me this is a total miss: hair, jacket, flood pants , stumpy boots… all terrible in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to her elegance?
CH
Agree, What happened to her elegance?
DeleteMary
I love Kate’s hair here. The jacket colour washes her out, how about a Scarlett red pea coat over her black cashmere polo?
ReplyDeleteMaybe she could switch boots with Camilla's brown ones. At least Catherine is not wearing a house dress with them.
ReplyDeleteTo follow my own rules...I like her smile.
ReplyDeleteHead and face are the first things to look at. So I am going to wait desperately for a new haircut or at least for wholly grown out curtain bangs before I look at what she wears. If I want to see unkempt looking women with the last cry "shag cut" on their head I am not going to look for it in royal circles. (GM)
ReplyDeleteI feel it's a lovely coat, but (my) attention is immediately drawn to the (for me) too flared legs; I feel that's also the reason many comment on the boots. A straight pair of jeans would have looked so much better. A ponytail would have made this sportive look complete.
ReplyDeleteNot a good haircut!
ReplyDeleteHonestly , I am not keen on checkered clothes in general and this is no exception.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I like the idea and the design of this seemingly warm and cozy jacket.
Other than that, Pss Kate looks so beautiful and she is really enjoying this outdoor visit.
I am being partial too, ok, ' cause I simply love Inverness and Moray as much as Scotland as a whole.
I'm not a fan of this burberry jacket, however, everything else looks great on the princess of wales.
ReplyDeleteT
My husband and I share some clothing items and I really like the prince of wale's jacket. Does anyone know where it is from?
