  1. They all look great. I love Sophie's earrings.

  2. Everyone looks fantastic. Sophie is glowing, her makeup is especially beautiful here. I like the similar silhouettes of Catherine's and Camilla's hats. Of course everyone in uniform looks wonderful. Great presentation by the family.

  3. Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh is looking beautiful in the dress with the pattern of lillies of the valley especially made for Queen Elisabeth’s funeral !!

  4. Kate has that panda looking make up again…

    2. Agree. It’s too harsh ans severe combined with the military style black coat.

    3. Excuse my ignorance but what is Panda makeup?

    4. Yes too much make up. The kind of earrings 70+ would wear does not help.
      Age her a lot.

  5. All suitably dressed as one would expect. My favourite hat is that worn by Queen Camilla. I really admire the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester who, in their late 70s are picking up more engagements than ever. All done with dignity and grace.

  6. Sophie looks beautiful, gorgeous coatdress, the embroidery up close I can appreciate very much. She looks so sincere and elegant.
Catherine in this instance, I appreciate the significance.
of Military, with regards to the coatdress, but to me it looks too severe.

  7. All the ladies are dressed appropriately for this occasion. Catherine just looks very tired

    1. Indeed, she looks very tired and makes her looks much older.

    2. I've never seen her older recently. Here Sophie looks younger than her, or at least the same age. I wonder why? Sometimes I think most of her pictures are heavily photoshopped. Frieda

  8. Everyone looks perfect for this solemn occasion--immaculately turned out. I love Sophie's choice best--the embroidery is beautiful. QC's hat is awesome--she always looks great in huge hats and this outing is no exception. I like Catherine's coat too--the military theme reminds me of an Alexander McQueen coat she has worn before. The Duchess of Gloucester's coat and hat are lovely--her hat also reminds me of a military hat with the poof of feathers at a slant.

  10. Love Sophie's dress and hat, but not together. Pearl leaf earrings on PoW are too large and wrong shape in combination with the large hat brim and the round poppy pin. In fact, I'm not sure they would ever fit her delicate facial structure, no matter what she might be wearing. They look more like a humongous brooch. S.M.

    1. I think the PoW's earrings are the same or part of the ones she wore at the coronation.

    2. I agree with you SM.
Kate's earrings look wrong for the sombre occasion.
Sophie' s earrings on the other hand look perfect.

  11. Great look for all the Ladies. It is so nice to watch how the BRF pays tribute to the fallen. To all who served including my own family. Thank you for your service, css

  12. Question, why does Catherine and Sophie wear three poppies and the rest wear one?

  13. While they all look good, I would have preferred more simplicity and less dramatic hats and outerwear given that it is a day of reflection and remembrance. That should be the focus, not superfluous style. For this reason, the Duchess of Gloucester got it perfectly right for me, more than any of the others.

  14. Where is Prince Edward, the Duke og Edinburgh. Odd that he is not in one photo. His Duchess is so lovely looking and gracious.

  15. Kate’s earrings are striking. They look like 2 parts of a 3-part broach that HLM used to wear. Perhaps the pieces are detachable. Beautiful pearls. Sophie looks beautiful and the embroidery on her coat is lovely. Wondering where Edward is?

  16. Although not being British I watch the Remembrance service every year on television: such an impressive event: the music, the dignity and solemnity, the choreography of it all, and everyone perfectly dressed: Britain at its very best to honour those who gave their lives.

All of them look absolutely well attired .
and dignified in honouring the fallen soldiers.
A great tribute from the BRF.

  18. The best dressed is Duchess Sophie, except for the hat. Her embroidered dress looks beautiful and her face and make-up are particularly soft again. On the other hand Queen Camilla and Princess Catherine are looking too dramatic in some pictures. The only thing I like on the queen is her hat. Princess Catherine's coat dress has a too military look (like the past years). I do not find that necessary. What I do not like either are the visible zippers as well on Camilla's dress as on Catherine's, not chic at all. Catherine seems to have a special make-up for this kind of events : too dramatic, too heavy eye make-up,.... It makes her look 10 years older. In these pictures she looks older than Sophie.

    1. Same thought. Sophie looks fresher while being serious for this event. Can’t see much gap in look of Kate and Sophie, and actually picture 5 and 6, Kate does look older than Sophie.

  21. Toutes ces dames sont magnifiques, chacune dans son style mais je préfère quand même celui de Sophie avec ses motifs Muguet ; tout à fait à mon goût ses boucles d'oreilles perles et diamants très délicates !

    1. Necessary to say this? We all have photos where we look pretty haggard ( tiredness, the lighting, the moment, a little sick, the photographer!) … and we all have days where we’re exhausted - it’s just life!, … but it is still a little hurtful when someone points it out! - Grace.

      Delete
    2. Well said Grace. Not a nice comment from Anon, however should admit she has a team to help her look stunning, hairdresser, make up, fashion designer, PR, nanny, etc …. Not like the rest of ‘ordinary’ women who actually work and look after the kids. She looks much older than her age in these pics. Perhaps due to make up, or time to refill her botox?

    3. Rosie, how do you know she uses botox? I don't think she does. As for the "looking old": light (real light and flash light) can have a great impact.

  23. I read this blog regularly and occasionally add my opinion on fashion and style. Whenever I voice my criticism of the outfit or hairstyle of some royal ladies (for example, Maxima's ruined hair or Princess Stephanie's ill-fitting jacket, for example), I am very strongly admonished by the other discussants, sometimes harshly, that I am supposedly doing "bodyshaming" and that I am not kind enough. Interesting. that when the Princess of Wales is criticized by some of the debaters, no one jumps to her defense. Why?

    1. Hi Stephanie, probably because not everyone reads every post - or they read a post early before the negative comments - or don’t have time to respond. It’s all a bit random on who sees what when and whether they comment! As for highly critical comments that aren’t about the fashion or designer but aimed at the person themselves, I do find them pretty poor form, as I’ve seen great suffering through online bullying and I think some commenters forget that in an open blog anyone might be reading including the person being criticised or their kids, so I think it’s really important to keep all comments gracious and thoughtful, and for negative comments to be carefully constructed. Have a great day - AnneLise

    2. I find other blogs friendlier than blogs relating to Kate. Unless you constantly highly praise Kate otherwise no one can comment negatively about her splendid hair or stunning outfits without being harshly attacked.

  24. Such negative comments regarding Catherine, she looks a bit tired as we all do some times
No need to be so rude, she has 3 young kids it’s known she looks after them personally besides it’s Catherine.s warm smile that makes her beautiful🌹❤️
