Ahead of Nobel Prize festivities in Stockholm, Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O'Neill attended a dinner at the Swedish Embassy in Washington DC. Princess Madeleine and Christopher O'Neill met some of the US-based Nobel laureates and congratulated them on their remarkable achievements.
Talbot Runhof Cape Effect Draped Metallic Gown
Oscar de la Renta Swarovski Crystal Drop Earrings
She looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLovely earrings something isn’t wright with that dress though..can’t figure it out what it is?!
ReplyDeleteAgree; too tight on hips and bosom?
DeleteToo less colour?
Bad cut for such a lovely face,
Mabel
I think it’s the sleeves??? - their strange puffy/ cut and where they finish sort of cuts off the otherwise excellent lines of the bodice. Imagine they were instead long to the wrist and fitted not puffy and it would’ve been a better design (in my totally non professional opinion!). I think the length, colour, neckline and fit are otherwise gorgeous for the wearer! - AnneLise
DeleteThe gown is a tad too tight and is a sort of "washout" color for gorgeous Madeleine imho.
DeleteElle est toujours aussi magnifique
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
She is a true beauty with style!
ReplyDeleteSo sehr es mich freut, ein Münchner Label zu sehen, finde ich die Anmutung ein kleines bißchen uncharmant.
ReplyDeleteSabsi
You are right, it doesn‘t fit. As i read, actrices like Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie wore dresses from T+ R.
DeleteShe looks beautiful, but I really don't like this dress (personal taste, I guess).

Johnny Talbot, an American and Adrian Runhof, a German man joined their fashion and non fashion skills together in 2000 to create the fashion name of Talbot Runhof.
ReplyDeleteTheir work has been designing glamorous evening gowns and cocktail dresses with a passion for fine fabrics, perfect cuts, and extravagant detail.
Since their creation they have developed a worldwide fan base.
They are based in Munich and have appeared in several fashion showings in Paris.
Quite right, but the first brand name was "all about eve". They design day wear as well for (sometimes) reasonable prices. They have an impressing service, when you buy an item, they alterate it (as i experienced it in Düsseldorf) for free. So the dress should fit perfectly. Here it looks a bit tight. anna e.
DeleteYou are right, Anna e., the dress should fit better, given the quality. I have seen Talbot dresses, which would look so much better on the princess. e.
DeleteIt looks like cling wrap. And it's not a compliment. - Ellie
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteShe looks great. And the dress looks just like it should look on her, based on the photos of the dress on the model / mannequin. As I see it, the "clinginess" is a stylistic feature, without which the dress would only be another bland evening dress.
ReplyDelete-B.
She has the body, looks, and presence to pull it off. Gorgeous! MR
ReplyDeletePerfect fit, and highlights PM's statuesque figure. Normally I'm not fond of a bland color with blonde hair, bur there is something about this dress that elevates it to pure elegance, maybe it's the sparkles and strategically placed folds. PM is the best at wearing fashion jewelry and making it look like a million bucks. She's also one of a few who can wear her hair down and look perfectly coifed. I'm loving this whole look S.M.
ReplyDeleteWow, great! Zofia

ReplyDeleteShe looks beautiful. The gathering around the bodice, waist and hips I don't like. The earrings are beautiful, but I dont like them with this gown.
ReplyDeleteOh no, one of these not working royals. Helen has to stop writing about them Right? 😉
ReplyDeleteHahaha :-)
DeleteMadeleine is looking perfect. Just gorgeous in this champagne colour. Perfect hair and jewelry. True princess-style! Damsel Dragonfly
And what is a working royal - from 9 to 5? ;))
DeleteGood point @Anon18:34. Why should we waste our time on these people who don't do any "royal" work.😁
DeleteI don't understand why Helen shouldn't post news about HRH Princess Madeleine? She's still the royal princess, no matter that she's not full-time working royal like her parents and older sister are.
DeleteIt is always good to see Princess Madeleine and other not-so-often-seen royals.
Helen does really amazing job with this blog. Thank you Helen <3
Princess Madeleine looks so lovely in this gown. And it is always good to see new designers introduced (hadn't headrd about this brand before).
+Sigrid+
I was trying to be funny and sarcastic because this is the comment Harry and Meghan get every time Helen writes about them. No one else gets stupid comments like that, not Madeleine, not Zara, Eugenie, Bea, Märtha Louise, Christina, Elena, or all the other not working royals. Just wait and see when Helen shares Meghans outing last night. She looked stunning, by the way. Of course, she should write about all the royals no matter what we think about them. It's up to us to read about the one we like and scroll by on the others, but some of us just have to tell the world how low and nasty they are.
DeleteI have no problems with "non working royals" the more they are the less the taxpayer has to pay for them.
DeletePrincess Madeleine looks very beautiful in this evening dress. To me she looks perfect. Love that color too, we call it "champagne". I like the drapings too. The dress is maybe a bit tight, but with her body shape she can have it.
ReplyDeleteThe earrings are rather big. I hope for her they are not too heavy.
For me, she is the most beautiful princess of all. A stunning woman with an unobtrusive beauty who looks good in everything thanks to her perfectly normal figure, not too big, not too thin. This dress also suits her perfectly. Chris, watch out! ;-) Frieda
ReplyDeleteStunning 👍
ReplyDeleteI met this princess once
ReplyDeleteShe is a fairly short/small lady. And this dress accentuates that fact. And indeed the dress is too tight. But it is a beautiful dress when you look at the model.
Since when is 5,5 considered short?
DeleteSie ist so groß wie ihre Mutter (früher war). Ca. 1.70 m finde ich nicht klein, in Deutschland zB. ist der Durchschnitt 1.68m
DeleteVery nice look. A nuance to tight. The earring is stunning. css
ReplyDeleteShe is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteAnna
Those earrings are next level…pure fabulousness!
ReplyDeleteMadeleine is a stunning woman. She looks wonderful in this dress--I love the dress but the photos here make the color appear to wash Madeleine out. I have seen her in other clothes in colors like this and they flatter her. So, not too sure what is going on here and figure its the lighting. Her earrings are fabulous and perfect for the dress. I think she and Chris make a good looking couple too.
ReplyDeleteJanet
Princess Madeleine looks so lovely and elegant. Another lovely look.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry she won't be attending the Nobel ceremony in December...
Kaarin
Ok, this is by far my absolute cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular.
Maybe this dress Is a just a little too tight in the tummy- hips area?
Anyway, a magnificent figure hugging sparkling sensual evening gown!
Just what a born beauty line Pss Madeleine needs to highlight even more her outstanding physical aspect.
Glad Chris is smiling this time, he's handsome and smart too!
Ops, I forgot to say that I love Madeleine's hairstyle and makeup.
ReplyDeletePerfection👍
Both Princess Madeline and Chris look stunning and showing interest in the event. Beautiful couple!!
