Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg visited the exhibition "D’histoires et d’art" at the Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart (MNAHA). Offering a glimpse into a little-known chapter of the country’s art history, D’histoires et d’art explores the lived reality of artists in the 1700s and the intriguing paintings they produced, from altarpieces and other religious works to portraits.
The exhibition is based on the work of the Belgian-Luxembourgish art historian Henri Carême, who defended his thesis at UCLouvain. His thesis, which is the basis of the exhibition catalogue, was financed by the National Research Fund of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Grand Duke Henri and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie visited the Salon du CAL 2023 Fair at Tramsschapp Culture Center, which took place as part of the 9th edition of the Luxembourg Art Week. The fair offers an overview of the current artistic scene of Luxembourg and if necessary of non-resident and foreign artists are also invited.
they love art in luxembourg
ReplyDelete“They”?
DeleteI like the white and beige combination on Stephanie. Conversely, a brown-orange blouse with black pants is boring. I noticed the outfits of the other guests of the exhibition - there is no one there whose outfit I would like. Some gentlemen have classic suits, but either their jackets (tight) or pants don't fit. Ladies - .....
ReplyDeleteIf my colleagues and I were expecting a visit from the president (I live in the republic) and photojournalists, we would pay more attention to the outfits - smart elegance or buisness elegance. - My opinion
Stephanie
Funny because I feel the opposite. I love the orange and navy combo because it's not boring cream and beige.
DeleteI totally hear you Stephanie. I live in Luxembourg (as an expat) and I can confirm that people here pay very little attention to the way they dress. This is a very wealthy country and most of the population live a very comfortable life but they chose to spend their money on other aspects of life (fine wining and dining, art, travelling extensively and to posh locations, good education, etc) rather than on their appearance. The GD family is no exception (worth noting that GD Maria-Teresa who one could argue is the most glamorous of the family, is not Luxembourgish - you can see the different approach to dressing). As a foreigner living in Luxembourg I am often told that I am "overdressed" when I consider my attire normal for the occasion I am in - just different point of views.

Camel pants and cream top are lovely on HGD Stéphanie. Accessories are lovely in the same camel color. Rose
ReplyDeleteThe two outfits are typical of Stephanie. However, the orange, a colour I personally do not like has the dreaded high low hemline, which is off putting. The cream blouse and beige pants outfit is lovely, as is the beautiful Stephanie. Edwina
ReplyDeleteStephanie has such a lovely energy and it seems she is not into fashion. Having said that, her clothes do not fit well and I would hope that in her role, she had a tailor to improve the fit of her wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteStephanie looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Ava!
DeleteNice easy dressing. Not a great hair day today. Love her smile, css
ReplyDeleteMy opinion as well.
DeleteWhile the colours in the second outfit look good the blouse looks like something worn by an elderly lady. The orange blouse is a great colour for Stephanie. As usual it is her smile which is her best asset
