I am so glad to see gorgeous Pss Mette- Marit out and about.
    P. Haakon looks like honored to have this beautiful and brave wife by his side and he said that himself in an interview once.
Kudos to her, she's a great lady.
I will overlook fashion comments , I do not reckon them of utmost importance in this case.

However I think Mette Marit and Haakon are a very sympathetic couple, I suppose Mette Marit could benefit from the advise of a stylist.

Lovely. It's always refreshing to see that these two are never afraid to show love.

Most of all I admire the “ flowers” on stage!
MM looks good in a joyful dress,

Luckily, it is very well possible to simultaneously esteem somebody as a great person (I love MM's love for books) but criticize her fashion choices in a fashion blog. Block colours, clear simple structures and of course, a perfect cut favor her, but this is obviously not what she favours. Here, the floral pattern could be nice if it followed the principle "less is more", because being large florals strewn without a recognizable pattern, the overall impression is somewhat too turbulent. Like the dress, looks maybe a little summery but who could know we would get lots of snow around here this early. The thing with Mette Marit is that she looks so happy and she and Haakon makes such a loving couple, makes me happy every time I see them! Ac

M-M is looking healthy and I feel sure she is so happy to be part of this particular event--I love her literacy and book programs. In terms of fashion--she has always loved florals and ruffles and this dress gives her both. Personally, I like her better is solid colors and small prints rather than a print like this one. But I do like the simple style for her. She does look lovely--navy blue is beautiful on her.

So nice to see MM once again. Her hair and makeup are lovely, as is her personality, and warmth. The dress and cape look nice, though it might have been a little chilly with snow falling. Edwina

I like Mette Marit's dress. Why did everyone else wear black? It almost looks like a funeral. Thanks to Mette Marit and the lady in white for breaking up the black flood a bit.

Let's not forget the lady wearing the hot pink boots. They make a statement and are actually cute. Black is a stylish color for evening . It beats pastels. The ladies all look quite nice.

The pattern on the dress is busy but would be fine with a different style. As with the yellow check outfit worn yesterday CP Mette Marit has gone for a relatively high neckline and bell sleeves and not helped by the belt/ tie. As others, have said, she looks best in solid colours. Like the white/grey outfit of the lady in the last photo. Also wondering why anyone would attend an awards ceremony in pink wellies! 😀

This floral is pure M-M, although I think more structured clothing looks best of her. Reading the other comments, it sounds like she is more ill than I understood and events may be difficult for her to attend, which is a sad situation. Glad to see that she looks so happy when she is out at public events!

At first I thought oh no, solid heavy fabric. Then re looking it appears the top fabric to be light weight giving the dress movement and the floral colours give it the pop it needs. She looks very nice in all those colours.

This is one of my favourite dresses the crown princess has worn. I think an adjustment to lower the synching to her natural waist are will have a much better overall look. Otherwise, everything else is perfect.
