Japanese Princess Kako arrived in Lima, the capital of Peru for an official visit made on the occasion of 150 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. On November 3, 2023, Princess Kako attended an event at the Japanese Cultural Center in Lima in celebration of the 150th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Japan and Peru.
Princess Kako will spend six days in the South American country. The Princess will lead a ceremony to celebrate the start of bilateral relations in 1873, when both countries signed a treaty of friendship, commerce and navigation.
Wow, she looks amazing. Normally I don't like her hairstyle and IMO "conservative" outfits but this is wonderful from tip to toe. Her hair is styled so nicely and supports this kimono, which is itself a piece of art. Iris
ReplyDeleteQu'elle est ravissante Kako dans ce kimono aux tons délicats ; depuis un certain temps, elle est envoyée sur le terrain afin de représenter le Japon, ce qu'elle fait fort bien !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kako in a gorgeous kimono! She looks beautiful with her hair in an updo.

What a beautiful kimono on HIH P Kako! I wish we could see the back, too, because the little glimpses we can get of the fastening make me want to see more of it.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a lovely appearance by the princess.

I agree with your comments, Anya!
DeleteIt does make me wonder why she has to do a tour like this. Normally it would be the king/emperor or crown prince couple that does these kind of things. I know the Japanese court is very strict, but it's a bit odd to leave important overseas tours to a lower member of the royal family, no? Princess Kako will do it perfectly no doubt, but it's a bit strange she gets to do the more fun things that get global visibility, where I would imagine the emperor and empress or crown prince couple would do an equally wonderful job. What a lovely dress!
ReplyDeleteThis Kimono is wonderful love it. css
ReplyDeleteClass act as always by Princess Kako.
ReplyDeleteShe looks superb.
ReplyDeleteDear Damsel Dragonfly, I have been thinking about your observations. The imperial court of Japan has been around for a long time so that I am convinced they know exactly why they have given princess Kako this diplomatic role. I presume that she will be given more missions in the future as the imperial family is not getting any younger and her sister has married a commoner. My thoughts.

Suite aux observations précitées, il est vrai que ses parents -encore jeunes princes héritiers- peuvent se voir confier des missions officielles en partant à l'étranger !
