    1. I agree, I would just remove the "surprisingly" which is often too biassed. I am however pleased she didn't go for the red belt.

It's a nice trouser suit but I wonder how it would look if the peplum was a little bit longer so as to draw away attention from the hips/midriff? I think that would give the top a more elegant flow.

Fairly nice suit, though the jacket could be a little longer and a big bigger so the eyes are not drawn to the mid section, which makes the waist seem larger. The hair, once again a mess, even with photos from a distance, such as photo #4, the hair is just a disaster. The smile is engaging, as usual. Edwina

    1. It appears that without any State Dinners/Galas etc Maxima goes back to her favourite hairstyle, that is, low maintenance “shabby chic” look.

    3. Dear @Anon 09:12 : Look it up on the net. It’s a low maintenance hairstyle that I think was created for busy working girls. But I don’t think it’s a good style for a Queen.

  4. Je trouve que ce tailleur/pantalon manque de fluidité au niveau de la taille ; j'aime le modèle porté par le mannequin avec la jupe élégante mais il faut juste enlever la ceinture trop large !

  5. The only good thing about her *Natan* outfit is that she chose not to wear that red monstrosity belt.

    1. While I don't think check trouser suits look good on anyone, it could certainly be worse. Just look at the outfit worn by the model. At least Queen Maxima had the good sense to give that a miss!

Máxima's jacket is one or two sizes too small. You can see how the material is stretched, must be uncomfortable to wear or take a deep breath in. The buttons are ready to take someone's eye out. |Melanie|

I'm OK with this trouser suit---the trousers fit quite well although they are touch too long. The jacket's peplum could be a touch longer. I am grateful to see QMax didn't want to add that horrible belt!

    1. But I ask the question "why". That belt is 100% Maxima.
I'm disappointed. She's not thinking of us. 😁

  10. I love this suit: the colour & for are lovely!
But what I always enjoy about QM is that she always is so engaged in her events & seems to listen attentively to what others say!
