Lorraine-Rose.

    1. I cannot see any problem with the hair of any of these two lovely young women ; again the syndrom of "please cut your hair".
The three ladies and Qn Sofia are nicely dressed. I would say that Leonor's suits is a bit strict, not very exciting as Mabel said.

  2. Back to their usual impeccable dressed selves!
Love Sophia in her daring dress!
The Queen: oh what a stunning lady; Leonor: good but not very exciting.

  3. Jeeze...I don't know...
After seeing this and the previous set of Princess of Asturias Awards photos, I feel that both these beautiful princesses are missing something big. Both are beauties, but both look years past their youthful age. The frumpy length of their dresses or skirts...bad posture (Sofia)...no exciting 'zing' from either of them. I don't know what else to say. They both have tremendous potential so my fingers are crossed.
Their mother and grandmother on the other hand look wonderful here, in contrast.

  4. Leonor is a beautiful young lady, but I wish she would dress more modern. I know she is the future queen and very conscious of her responsibilities, but she can really turn it up a notch. This outfit as well as the pink one looks like it belongs in someone much older's wardrobe.

Leonor looks pretty, Navy suits her well.

  8. think it would look better if Leonor switched clothes with her mother.
Infanta Sofia has inappropriate shoes. Pumps without a heel with a completely flat sole (so-called ballet flats) are very unsuitable for wearing, because wearing them hurts the arch of the feet (doctors - orthopedists say). In addition, wearing such shoes does not look good optically - the foot looks "flat, wide, the calves too. Long-term wearing of such shoes can lead to flat feet.

    2. Glad to see others state that very flat shoes are bad for your feet as well as being unflattering. I know very high stilettos are not good either, though at least they look good, but my podiatrist described ballet flats especially for young girls as ‘the devil’s work!’ Sofia is tall but her outfits really need at least a small kitten heel to look good.

  14. Is princess Leonor's dress a design by "And other Stories" ? The transparent skirt and the tweed bodice is a mark of that brand. It is a bit a too old dress for her.
Infante Sophia looks good in that black and white "Cardie" dress although I prefer her with the jumpsuit version.
Queen Letizia's dress is too long, otherwise a beautiful dress.

  15. Again, an interesting assortment from the ladies of the SRF. Queen Sofia looks very elegant--love her jacket. I was not a fan of Leonor's outfit until I saw the close up of it--it is gorgeous and its perfect for the importance of the awards. QLet--I know everyone seems to love it but I am not a fan of the one side bare/one side with a sleeve look. In the photos it looks like Letizia has lost an arm. Charlene has a similar dress that I didn't like for the same reason. Still, the dress fits beautifully and Letizia looks wonderful. Sofia--such a pretty girl. The dress needs to be better tailored along her mid-section. I would also suggest a different shoe as the length of the dress and her shoes are not working well together. Finally, she needs some posture lessons. I feel like I am being a bit harsh on her but the posture thing is important and will benefit her for life. She is a beautiful girl and standing straight with squared shoulders would enhance her natural beauty.

    1. Janet, I share your opinion about the dress with one sleeve.I think a dress should either be sleeveless or have sleeves,in general.

    2. Sofia is a tall girl. She may be self concious of her height as she feels awkward towering over everybody. I'm sure in time she will gain confidence and her posture will improve.

  17. I like Letizia's dress the best but what's with the white shoes? I think a metallic pair would have looked better. Once again Sofia picked something unusual and youthful while Leonor looks a bit matronly in her navy midi dress. Can you imagine the size of these ladies closets? All together they will have enough clothes to fill my 1300 square foot home.

I think that Leonor's dress is very effective, simple but smart, a good navy shade which appears even more beautiful and classy under the hall lights.
The right kind of dress for such an institutional engagement.
It's 'intemporal', to put it in Spanish.
Here's a link to her speech:

She gave a well articulated speech and looks so beautiful (her famy looks so proud of her)
I love her earrings, great contrast with her blond mane.
All the others are perfectly attired for the occasion , including guests and Ms. Streep in particular.
Well done to all of them.
