On October 16, 2023, Queen Silvia, Princess Madeleine and Christopher O'Neill attended the World Childhood Foundation's 2023 Gala Dinner and cocktail reception held at Park Avenue in NYC. Gala Dinner is the annual fundraiser for the World Childhood Foundation USA’s programs. Childhood Foundation evaluates, monitors, and reviews project applications from other organizations, and provides funding for services for children in need.
Chiara Boni La Petite Robe Mirla Off-The Shoulder Draped Ruffle Gown
DeleteCoucou, reine Silvia.. oui juste.
DeleteMadeleine époustouflante de beauté, de chic, d élégance . Bien accessoirisée
ReplyDeleteSuperbe Sylvia dans la sobriété
Froufrou
Elegant and expensive ladies 🤭
ReplyDeleteBoth lady's look great. But Madeleine is really a red carpet star. Classy, dignified en so beautiful
ReplyDeleteMadeline is such a beauty! But did she touch up her face??
ReplyDelete@Anonymous 14:38 I think it's the make up. Probably a different make up artist than their usual? You can tell from Silvia as well that it's a different style.
DeleteI don’t think so. I saw some pictures on the internet about last night where the lights weren’t so good and those photos were not photoshopped. You could see in those pictures that no work was done on her face. She is a natural beauty.
DeleteProbably just a bit and hopefully won't do much more at least not yet.
DeleteAva
To talk about the elephant in the room. M has used botox and fillers for years, and thats her prerogative, but she had more wrinkles when she was 18 then today. So not just make up. 2007 https://i0.wp.com/www.thecourtjeweller.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/2022-0614-01-madeleine06.jpg?resize=1033%2C1536&ssl=1 2019 https://imgix.billedbladet.dk/media/article/rexfeatures_8961590eu.jpg?auto=format,compress&fit=crop&ar=394:221&crop=faces,entropy&w=1020
DeleteMake up 😅🤣
DeleteWonderful !
ReplyDeleteYes probably some face treatment, why not for me.
DeleteWOW. Madeleine is absolutely stunning. A real beauty.
ReplyDelete/AA 🇸🇪
Princess Madeleine's dress is beautiful, something I can imagine on Princess Kate and in my wardrobe to. Nice hair and makeup too. I would suggest replacing the sandals with classic pumps. Then it would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I don't understand is: 4 bracelets and a watch. The bracelets look cheap and don't match each other. The style icon - the famous Coco Chanel once said: When leaving the house, a lady should put away one of the accessories she has chosen for herself. Then their amount will be just right.
Stephanie
How do you know the bracelets are cheap ? I see one by Cartier and a tennis bracelet with little diamonds that is woven in a golden bracelet that could be the name of a loved one. The little bracelet she is wearing made with pearls of different colors is probably one of those which are sold for a good cause, Queen Sylvia is always wearing a similar bracelet too. Or maybe it is made by one of her (grand)children. Bracelets and jewelry don't have to match anymore like in the old days. Today one can wear yellow gold and white gold together, diamonds and pearls too.
DeleteHer dress is gorgeous and her golden sandals and clutch are a good choice for and gala dinner. Her face is indeed a bit different than before. Due to what ? I wouldn't know. Rose
Maybe she did. She might have started out with 5 bracelets. LOL.
DeleteBtw, I don't see 4 bracelets. I see two gold bracelets on the right arm and one multicolored bracelet on the left - and it looks like one of those "friendship" type bracelets (perhaps maybe made by one of her kids?). Who knows but, I don't think they look cheap and that "rule" about all of your metals having to match stopped being a rule well over twenty years ago - literally in the last century! Mixed metals has been a thing for a while now.
DeleteThe multicolor bracelet is "The World Childhood Foundation's bracelet" and Silvia and Madeleine are almost always wearing them. I am surprised that some of you haven't noticed it before.
DeleteMadeleine looks stunning. Silvia looks also good in green.
@Anonymous17/10/23 18:16 Haha, so funny! I think she took the necklace off. (Beth)
DeleteDear discussion partners,
Deletemaybe the bracelets cost a lot of money, maybe they are from Cartier, I don't know. But - from my point of view - this four-combination of bracelets gives the impression of cheap goods. Being cheap and looking cheap are two different things.
You may like it, but I'm not a fan of too much jewelry. I believe in the principle that there is beauty in simplicity.
So let's sum it up: I love Madeleine's dress, I don't like the accessories. You have your opinion, and I have mine too.
Stephanie
I agree with those who know that stacking bracelets is more than acceptable, and mixing metals has been the way to go for a very long time now. Cartier is anything but cheap!
DeleteThe ”cheap” bracelet is The Childhood Foundation” bracelet, it’s supposed to be a symbol of their work for the children. Sold to the benefit of the foundation .
Delete//AA
Princess Madeleine looks perfect! She has always been outstandingly beautiful but I think she looks even better lately if it’s even possible. Larina
ReplyDeleteDidnot recognize Madeleine.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is beautifull.
Madeleine looks absolutely gorgeous in this gown. Fits beautifully and great on her frame. Chris also looks very smart. I like the deep green color on Silvia and the sparkly fabric is lovely.
ReplyDeletePrincess Madeleine looks radiant, but this shade of green doesn’t flatter queen Silvia, it makes her face pale.
ReplyDeleteAu contraire, that shade of greens suits her. Perhaps the queen avoids too much sun. e.
DeleteEurope's most beautiful princess is Madeleine. She is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAgree, she's certainly in the top five.
DeleteI should have qualified my statement by saying HRH Princess Madeleine is the most beautiful BORN princess in Europe, followed by
DeletePrincess Alexandra of Luxembourg. Because Europe has quite a few beautiful princesses overall.
Beautiful Princess
ReplyDeleteExpensive Madeleine her outfit cost’s 600.000 SEK
ReplyDeleteNot true, check your facts. The dress sold for 1 090 USD, roughly 12 000 SEK.
DeleteNo idea why you write that Madeleine's outfit cost’s 600.000 SEK? @Saks the dress is on sale for EUR 713,62, regular price ~1100 EUR / ~12000 SEK.
DeleteShe could also rent the gown for one evening, then the cost would be even less. Did she buy 50 dresses to reach this price of 600.000 SEK?
https://www.saksfifthavenue.com/product/chiara-boni-la-petite-robe-mirla-draped-off-the-shoulder-gown-0400016937103.html
Quite usual price for the evening gowns other royal ladies wear as well.
This was great find as the gown looks amazing on her and the pricess looks simply stunning.

DeleteThe bracelet is a Cartier Love Bracelet with diamonds - 149 000 SEK
The watch is a Cartier Tank Américaine 440 000 SEK
The dress is a Chiara Boni – 8.000-13.000 SEK
/AA 🇸🇪
@/AA: You wrote about outfit cost’s of 600.000 SEK but her dress did not cost this much.
DeleteAs to the prices of the jewellery...she has worn watches and bracelet by Cartier numerous times before, these were not bought for this event only. Do you also calculate how much jewellery cost during the Nobel gala? Talk about Expensive then ;)
Cartier seem to be pretty go-to-brand among the royals circle. Its like an investment as they will gain value over the years.

Madeline looks sensational, right down to the beautiful strappy sandals she is wearing, gorgeous. Queen Silvia looks beautiful, her gown suits her so well.
ReplyDeletePrincess Madeleine looks stunning. One of the best off-the shoulders dresses I've seen. The color looks amazing on her, good fit, soft hairstyle, beautiful earrings. She's such a beauty and classy lady. Just like her mother. Queen Silvia also wonderful look.
ReplyDeleteKaarin
The lady on the far left with the black dress reminds me of a skeleton or Halloween costume, doesn't she?
ReplyDeleteWow, just wow! Now this is how you wear an off-shoulder dress! And for the right occasion too. She looks stunningly beautiful, the dress, the cut, the fit, the right shade of blue, hair, make-up, jewerly, down to the ruby nail polish, everything is just perfect. I even like the gold sandals :-)) But most important, Madeleine has the charisma of a woman who is content with herself, her role, her life, her life decisions. Of course we would not know in detail, but this is what I see. Hubby looks good in his tux too. Everybody was dressed so nicely. These photos were a pleasure to watch.
ReplyDeleteWhat an usual look for Madeleine. A saturated colour and none of her usual pastels. A figure-hugging dress and none of her usual princess gowns. A strapless style and none of the floaty floral high-neck stuff we used to see on her. And her hair in a beautiful updo rather than down. And lastly, her make-up done quite differently and more boldly. I´m here for all of it.
ReplyDeleteSilvia looks fantastic as well. Her dress is very much her style, but her hair and make-up are different as well, and I do like the variation. I think the green colour suits her perfectly, but I wish the dress was a bit more fitted.
I agree with all your comments, except for the make-up. That's a LOT of make-up, dare I say Kardashianlike quantity of make-up. Her usual, more natural make-up would have looked nicer. But overall: great outfits on great people. Damsel Dragonfly
DeleteAgreed, it´s a lot of make-up. But I think it´s the kind of occasion that befits a bit of glam. And in the American context, it is just right. In Europe, and for royal representation as well as for any day occasion, it would be too much, of course. Even here, I think that her cheeks are too much, but I like the eye make-up and the darker lipstick (which we very rarely see on her)
DeleteFantastic look for Madeleine, from head to toe. Like the Q's gown very demure. Madeleine stole the show. It was worth it for a great cause. css
ReplyDeleteMay I be 100% honest again?
ReplyDeleteP. Madeleine is a real stunnner, wow!
That's entirely my cup of tea and something very close- or should I say identical?- to my own style.
She's glamorous all over, including the captivating dark red shade of her nail polish.
Her sandals are pure luxury, as well as her clutch.
Hair is on point and makeup is perfection.
Her jewelry is well chosen and I love her watch.
Frankly, all the commentaries by the accountant of the site about prices and that ridiculous blathering about bracelets are exactly what I would expect from someone not used to wearing high- end clothes and accessoires including jewelry.
The nasty remarks on Madeleine's makeup are worth my pity but I understand they are the result of total ignorance as far as makeup products and their application for a glam night/ event is concerned.
The more the lights, the more a particular kind of rich make-up is required( this is one of the most basic rules).
I suggest visit modern toiletries/ cosmetics/ clothes stores in any shopping centre or departement stores before producing such old- fashioned, overly hilarious commentaries.
A visit to the nearest hairstylist is also highly recommended to whom still seems to live in such an anachronistic unreal dimension.
Anyway, thank you for making me burst out laughing at such OLD ignorance spread all over several commentaries!
Mrs Someone does not have a clue about what glamorous elegance and class is on a born CLASSY lady 😳😄
P. the original
DeleteThank you 🤩
/AA 🇸🇪
Gosh. Well, thank you for telling us all that you are accustomed to designer dressing and wearing high end make up, and that the rest of us are ignorant and out of touch. Really, thank you.
DeleteBeyond fashion now.
ReplyDeleteOf course, Madeleine's and Q.Silvia's support for this cause is of utmost and primary importance.
Thanks also to Mr O' Neill.
Excellent👍👍
Madeleines dress costs 12000 SEK,
ReplyDeleteBag 25000 SEK, shoes 12000 SEK Watch 250.000 SEK and Cartier love bracelet about 150.000 SEK
No procent to her earrings.
No wonder she looks lovely ♥️🤭
Princess Madeleine is a born beauty. Even in a potato sack she is beautiful. She was beautiful when she was a child and when she became a young girl she was the most beautiful of the 2 sisters. Google up pictures of her and you will see she has always been beautiful. Even without the expensive clothes and jewelry and make-up she is beautiful. She has always been.
DeleteMadeleine amazes me every single time. This lady never misses. Such a beautiful Princess.
ReplyDeleteMARIE
@ Cate,
ReplyDeleteI do not see see your name among the Anonymous commentaries I was referring to so your using a ' we' subject comes across as really strange.
Unless you yourself are Anonymous, 1/2 or with whatever signature...
Why are you so touchy, then?
You know, I have read that a very generous sum was raised thanks to this Gala Dinner.
I like to think that also 'expensive' Princess Madeleine you try so hard to disparage has to do with raising money for such a good cause.
Kudos to Q.Silvia and Mr O' Neill for making all this possibile as well.
Please, do not judge people you do not know nothing of.
You would be surprised at some ' lovely, expensive' ladies.
They have hearts too, they work and earn their money and they are also charitable, if you know what I mean.
They will never tell you when they give something away or who they benefited.
Pss Marlene is not responsible for being born into a healthy family or for being such a breathtaking beauty.
My comment 18/10/23 at 22:24 is in reply to @ Cath- 18/10/23 at 18:27
Delete* into a wealthy family
DeleteYou forgot to correct Pss Marlene ??? into Madeleine. Ha, ha !
DeleteNow let's not be nasty girls.
DeleteThis is not a school playground 😁
We've got some new bloggers on board and they'll be getting the wrong impression you know.
Hello, @ Deadeggs.
DeleteYes, that's right
The OLD girls seem to be playing in the school playground and that's even more hilarious at their age.
Unfortunately, they are too grown- up to play this way😁
Oh, thank you @ Anonymous at 16:28.
DeleteI guess it's just a little bit of attention you' re longing for and you' ve got it now.
Gotta leave. 👋
Oh, I've no intention of being nasty. I'm just glad to be a source of such hilarity for P. the original. Pleased to be of service.
ReplyDeleteYes, a source of hilarity and much more I'd better not give a definition of, dear @ Cath.
DeleteYou might want to have a rest now, no?
Bye.
You know P. the original. If bloggers aren’t happy with things they can de-blogg from our little community of royal fashion experts.
DeleteBut de-blogging yourself can have some risks to it.
They should think carefully before making the decision.
NOTE: Helen may have some disclaimer papers for them to sign before the de-blogging procedure is confirmed.
Especially signing a “silence” clause on our knowledge on bunions and royal ladies.
@Cath. I applaud you for not putting up with this nonsensical ranting, but don't bother, this is a lost cause. Just wait and see. In this case the adage "Don't feed the troll" applies. Best wishes Rina
ReplyDeleteShocker a story including a non-working royal. Helen has stop this. Right ;)
