Queen Maxima is making a three-day visit to the Republic of Kenya from October 23 to 25 in her capacity as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development. Queen Maxima arrived in Nairobi on the first day of her visit to Kenya. The Queen met with President of Kenya William Samoei Ruto, at the State House.
OSCAR DE LA RENTA cotton and wool blend tweed dress and jacket
Sth terribly wrong with her hair? Besides that really good look!
ReplyDeleteI agree .... if she'd get a nice chin length haircut she'd be more professional looking.
DeleteMarie
When she doesn't wear Natan, she usually looks very good and elegant.
ReplyDeletei agree. this is a professional respectful look.
Deletemaybe Natan does it on purpose to promote their brand
I've always liked this OdlR dress and coat suit on Maxima and I still do.
ReplyDeleteIt is appropriate and smart looking for a business meeting.

Agree.
Delete@deadeggs: King Charles and Q.Camilla are soon to begin a 3 day state visit to Kenya. I'm looking forward to that too.

Thanks @Anon 9:13 for the info.
DeleteLook forward to seeing Camilla’s Keynan wardrobe.
DeleteSorry, Kenyan and not Keynan.
Wonderful outfit ... she looks great ... all pictures are nice, but I like the 2nd one best ...
ReplyDeleteShe looks really good in this suit!
ReplyDeletePetra
Like the whole appearance! C
ReplyDeleteFinally, a nice dress and jacket set from Maxima. Isn't it too hot for Kenya? Either way, it's elegant. Maybe beceause it isn´t Natan, but Oscar de la Renta
ReplyDeleteStephanie
The fabric is cotton, so it should be fine. And yes, really elegant and chic! anna e.
DeleteThis is a great outfit for Queen Maxima. Smart, businesslike and elegant
ReplyDeleteAnnieM
Great suit dress from Oscar del la Renta for QMax--she looks sensational. This is a fun yet conservative look for Maxima--and completely perfect for the occasion and event. How elegant she looks!
ReplyDeleteJanet
Love this outfit on the Queen.
ReplyDeleteLooks like her hair is wilting in the heat...
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima is not in the role of Queen during her Kenyan visit.
DeleteHer role in Kenya is that of business woman for The United Nations.
So Maxima has gone back to her low maintenance, “shaggy-chic” hair style.
The daytime weather in Nairobi is around 28° celsius and humidity level is about 50%. Shouldn’t be a problem with hairdos and hair styles. But Maxima is not showing us anything that we haven’t seen before.
Agree with all the positive comments about her “working girl” suit.
Waiting to see what else comes out of the cupboard for the three day visit.
Thank goodness no silly hat. Doesn’t fit for being in Africa.
ReplyDelete"the silly hat" Maxima wore with the yellow shirt and trousers was a present to her upon arrival - and according to information on another site she was asked to wear it for photos. The hat is special local handicraft.
DeleteMargot
Of course no hat, she is not on state visit in Kenia. I thought the custom of wearing a hat (and gloves) had been explained more than once. Everybody should know by now. Rose
DeleteThis suit looks superb. The fit is perfect, love the design. The length is good. The pearl necklace, earrings and bracelet are the perfect finishing touch. The nude colored shoes, excellent!
ReplyDeleteMaxima looks smart, professional and classy.
ReplyDeleteWell done.
Très chic cet ensemble mais peut-être que pour le climat, le mélange avec de la laine doit être un peu chaud ? Bon choix que les boucles d'oreilles et collier en perles !
ReplyDeleteOdd outfit for the climate she is visiting. Stringy hair again. Edwina
ReplyDeleteThe outfit would look ok for another country where it is cold.
Wool is widely worn in Kenya and everywhere in Africa. It has nothing to do with the climate.

Un conjunt "tweed" preciós. Tot perfecte...menys el cabell.
ReplyDeleteI am one of those who has to check the mirror and comb my hair upon arrival anywhere, I feel justified commenting. You would think Maxima would check and run a comb through her hair. The hair can detract from some lovely outfits. Christine
