In the context of The Queen Paola Prize for Education 2023 and in representation of Queen Paola, Princess Claire visited the project "Leon in de klas" at the Cardijnschool in Molenbeek, and the non-profit organization Atelier Leon. This project won the second place in The Queen Paola Prize for the Flemish Community.

The 'Leon in de klas' project brings together a mix of people from the Brussels Cardijnschool and Windroos primary school, and random passers-by, at the House of Cultures in Molenbeek every Thursday morning. Through movement and dance, dialogue is created without words and without boundaries. Leon is the dance community managed by choreographer Seppe Baeyens.

  1. Wow, I feel like we haven't heard about princess Clair in years. Lovely to see her back on the blog. Outfit-wise I like what she is wearing. I would have prefered the pants and blouse to be the same colour though, either both black or both white.

    1. This year she's had a few engagements representing her mother-in-law, like this one. And there are summer pictures of her with her family and the Two-Siciles clan in Saint-Tropez

    2. She was present on the National Day. She is not a working royal.

  4. I like that she wore pointy-toe heels and a long necklace to elevate what is essentially a casual outfit. Her hair and skin are glowing. Well done! S.M.

  8. I love her style because it's very similar to mine. And she always wear her pearls like I do😂I prefer her style much more to that of Mathilde. It's more understated and chic.I find her to be very elegant. And I love her hairstyle too.My favourite Belgian royal by far.

    1. @ Marta. You cannot compare a princess that does not have a specific role for the Royal house of Belgium with Queen Mathilde, who is the wife of King Phillipe. Her style is lovely on Belgium's national day and she wore beautiful evening gowns in the past. There was also a period in her life that she had health problems and another period that she did not want to represent Belgium and/or the Royal Family (dixit Prince Laurent ?). She has always been invited for anniversaries, remembrances and ceremonies of the royal family, but often had a reason not to show up at the last minute. Don't misunderstand me I am NOT saying it was her fault. Maybe she was the victim of the circumstances. Lucky for her that in Belgium the press and the media are less hard than f.ex. in the UK. What is happening in private in the Royal family usually stays almost always private.

  9. What a treat to see Princess Claire! She looks marvelous here and you can tell she is having a great time. Love her low key but very stylish outfit. It is perfect for a visit with kids and one that requires her to be physically active. I wish we could see more of her activities.

  10. Dear@anonymous,I think I have expressed my preference for Claire,in spite of her not being the queen, only a princess with no relevant role in the official events in the royal family.Maybe I have not expressed myself properly:I do prefer her more casual style as compared to Mathilde's casual style in the fewer opportunities I have seen her dressed more casual.Of course, Mathilde's wardrobe has to be more formal, but in spite of that, when Pss Claire has appeared in official events as representative of the Belgian royal family, I still prefer her style.Wearing gowns or beautiful hats or fascinators...And she wears her dainty tiaras so beautifully! She's a class act through and through. Not that Mathilde is not classy, but so many times she approaches the frump territory dangerously,in my humble opinion.
