It hurt my eyes to see her dress 🤭

  3. A little off topic but I’ll give it a try.
I hope that our blog administrator, Helen, will allow us a coverage of last Saturday’s royal wedding in Portugal. The daughter of the Duke of Bragance, the l’infante Maria Francisca of Portugal presented the country with its first royal wedding in over 25 years. The bride wore a simple but very elegant dress from a Portuguese designer, Luzia Do Nascimento, who is little known outside of Portugal. Most of the royal “hob-nobs” of Europe attended the wedding.
    I’ve got my fingers crossed;

Don't hold your breath I know that there had been several outings for Queen Sonja and Princesse Anne theblast week + she hasn't covered them and they are higher royals.

    3. Perhaps one of our Portuguese blogsters could help us with some information on the designer, Luzia Do Nascimento.

There is a lot of pattern and a lot of brownness here. There is not much more for me to say about this dress, as it lacks form, structure, good fit or any other feature that can make a person appear attractive. It puzzles me how somebody can decide to wear such an indistinctive piece of fabric. (GM)

Interesting dress. Seems a bit too large but I suppose it is meant to look like this.

  7. Si je peux donner mon humble avis, c'est la robe portée par la dame en compagnie de Caroline qui a ma préférence tant au niveau du style que des motifs de couleurs ; chez Caroline, il n'y a que les boucles d'oreilles qui pourraient me plaire !

I'm not a fan of this dress. It's a bit too wild. but I admire how Caroline has fulfilled her role as part of the royal family of Monaco. She seems very down to earth but serious about her duties. I always thought she looks the most like her mother and I'm sure both Grace and Rainier would be very proud of her. I like how she doesn't dye her hair or resort to anti-ageing procedures and has decided to age gracefully.

How lovely to be rich enough to wear a bathrobe to a public event. Allie

This dress does not suit Princess Caroline very well. Even on the model, the strange way the fabric is brought together on the stomach and the uneven hemline make me say NO. The colors are not a good choice for her neither. She needs stronger colors like red or orange, which will make her look fresher. Her hair looks less blond than the last pictures we saw of her. Maybe she used a special hairspray to make her look more blond. Now she is looking more gray than blond. Rose

    1. Yes I agree ... I was also disappointed by the hair color ; you may well have the right explanation.

  12. This robe could be nice with a little less fabric and just a touch of Africa.
But the full Out of Africa is a bit too much.
    It’s a no from me.
But wait a minute …… If Princess Caroline gave me some tickets for the exhibition with lunch included in Monaco at the Hermitage restaurant, I’d be glad to change my opinion to it being the best robe we’ve ever seen on Newmyroyals 😁😀

  13. The Princess looks nice, but this dress doesn't appeal to me.

  14. In the first photo, I thought how lovely Princess Caroline looked. Then I saw the dress. Although tastes obviously vary, I really can't understand why anyone so elegant would choose this bizarre dress. Although it's difficult to see with the lighting, I agree with Rose and Mary T that, disappointingly, her hair looks more grey than blonde here.

I think the princess wears these colours well. She may not want to wear skin tight dresses or tailored clothes all the time for fashion rather than comfort. I admire her decision to age naturally, so her inner beauty and grace shines. Shows her dedication is to others not herself.

    1. Colors are fine flor her ; yes, but the design is not is not good. I am not convinced about your statement "her decision to age naturally" if you mean no fillers. I think there are some changes in recent pictures. We should be able to see her really to have a more precise opinion.

  16. I love flowers, so I would have liked to see this exhibition myself. Caroline will always be a beautiful and elegant lady, no matter what she wears.

Caroline dress here is never going to be on my favorites list but she is elegant in whatever she wears--she has a natural grace that can always shine through. I like that she pulled out the green with her shoes. I feel the dress is too large and, were it better fitted, it might look quite good on her. Meanwhile, she beautiful and ageing so naturally--her hair is almost completely silver and white. I commend her for deciding to just go with the flow as she ages.

That is one of the ugliest dresses I’ve ever seen. Does nothing for her.

  20. I like this dress with an African & artvibe. Maybe somewhat big, but it suits her well. Also love the color of her shoes and the rest of her accessories.

  21. I think the dress is fresh ,bold, vibrant and very fashion forward. Why should she always be predictable and wear the usual dictated styles. As an older woman she has certainly earned the right to experiment with her look. Bravo! As for the hair....a silver vixen

  22. This would have looked so much better had it not been a dress - had it been a blouse or skirt, worn with a solid coloured skirt or blouse it would have worked.
