King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima are making a state visit to South Africa. On the 1st day of their visit to South Africa, The King and Queen visited the Innovation Village in Pretoria. The couple met members of the economic mission, which is focusing on strengthening partnerships between South Africa and the Netherlands in the areas of green hydrogen, circular waste management and future-oriented agriculture and horticulture.

This outfit is lovely on Maxima. Good color and accessories and not overdone.
ReplyDeletelooks like she is going for a wedding
DeleteAgree to missy, reminds me of an 80ies wedding hat , but the dress is pretty. e.
DeleteMy favorite couple! The Queen looks stunning! MR
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the most elegant outfits I´ve ever seen on Queen Maxima, with no doubt.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful outfit, gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteYes !
DeleteLe blanc combiné à la couleur orange donne une élégante tenue à Maxima mais je m'abstiendrais du bibi ainsi que des gants qui font trop habillé !
ReplyDeleteI like this dress it is really elegant. The background of the trees it all looks peaceful and serene. css
ReplyDeleteElle est magnifique! J'aime le coleur.
ReplyDeleteLovely background; aka the trees
ReplyDeleteLovely dress which suits Queen Maxima perfectly. I am amused by the first two photos where it looks as if her hat and the sky have blended!

Stunning outfit wow just do not like the colour caramel if it was navy without a doubt sublime.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful simple and elegant look from Maxima. While I personally don't like the color of her dress she looks fantastic and the color suits her.

Nice outfit, but overdressed for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous scenery with those blooming trees. It is snowing outside my window, so seeing blooming trees looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima looks also amazing. Lovely colorful outfit that fits her well, nice choice of accessories, lovely hairstyle. Well done.

I grew up in a country full of those beautiful Jacaranda trees. For us they bloomed in November and December. There were many roads leading to my school that were lined by those trees and when the flowers fall, the ground is carpeted in lilac. It's very beautiful, but you have to be careful walking on them as the flowers are very slippery.

Where I live, there the trees change their colors from green to yellow/red in the autumn (which is also beautiful sight[ but then the leaves fall down, so the trees look bare&gloomy till the next spring.
DeleteThose blooming Jacaranda trees looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing your story. We have the same problem with falling leaves - they can get very slippery when they've got wet ;)

Well at last we are seeing something that Maxima brought back in her shopping basket after her annual holiday in Greece 2023.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is by ZEUS+DIONE.
I find that “Greek Chic” and fashion fits Maxima perfectly..
Vanity Fair said in their March 2001 edition that the ZEUS+DIONE designs are steeped in Greek tradition and craftsmanship.
Their designs also have a unique interpretation of Greek mythology.
There is a great history behind this fashion house.

Yes deadeggs she already wore that dark orange dress on the occasion of a state visit, maybe to Greece, I don't remember exactly. The color is most fashionable also for the Fall & Winter period 2023-24. I love the creations of ZEUS+DIONE. Rose
DeleteYes Rose, I also remember having already seen this nice dress.
DeleteThe trees are Jacarandas.
ReplyDeleteI’ve read that they were originally from Argentina and South America.
A bit more info on the Jacaranda trees.
DeleteFlowering time in South Africa is from mid September to mid November.
It is now illegal to plant more of these trees as they are out of harmony with the environment.
Maybe one of our South African bloggers could give us more details on this.
One of her best looks. The dress fits her well and the colors are very pleasant.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Jacaranda trees in the background - Nostalgia for me. Growing up, we just knew, when the Jacaranda flowers exam season is upon us.
