On September 27, 2023, The Princess of Wales visited the Orchards Centre in Sittingbourne in Kent. There, she met with young people who has special educational needs and disabilities, as well as their families.
The purpose of the visit made in connection with the Princess' 'Shaping Us' campaign on early childhood was to receive information about the work of the National Portage Association, which is a home-visiting educational service for children from birth up until pre-school age that works across England and Wales.
Zara textured double-breasted blazer
The lady has style.
ReplyDeleteI ❤️ her hair
ReplyDeleteGood job to the hair dresser, to put all the bundle of hair in a well done plait
DeleteHair outstanding! Outfit just perfect. Long live the no heels for these royal ladies’ feet! - AnneLise
ReplyDeleteDo you think…?
DeleteWhat a disgusting comment. How ridiculous to think that you know anything about her forehead and that you think it appropriate to write junk like this.
DeleteI’m not as skilled as you at spotting facial fillers, but I too wish the pressure weren’t there on famous females to alter their faces when - without exception - their kindness, real smiles and natural beauty are what I find most appealing. (Very saddest for me is Charlene who completely altered her face.)
DeleteAnonymous 18:14 - your criticism of the commenter is a bit harsh! She’s making an observation that many others have made and making it gently. Let’s enjoy sharing thoughts and not criticise each other eh? - Kiwi Jane.
DeleteSeriously since we are talking about the elephant in the room. Kate is not better then the rest of the royal ladies, 2018 photo on the left and 2022 on the right. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FugULnpWIAENLLH.jpg:large
DeleteTo 18.14. why so rude with other commentators? Think before writing!
Your comment is very disappointing.
DeleteIf there is somehow a hint of rigidity in her attitude, it probably comes from the unusual weight of her hairdo !! It seems that it might collapse at any moment. Come back to your usual hair style, dear Catherine, and don't pay attention to narrow-minded people.
@08:07 Thanks for the links. They are interesting. In spite of the difficulty to compare (on the right pic she is smiling, on the 2018 one NOT and looks tired) I dare say she looks much better on the 2022 pic, probably with fillers. To me it does not matter whether there are fillers or not. The problem with aesthetic treatment is : have an excellent partitionner and take the right decision on how far to go, but not the old principles.
DeleteIt is obviously, isn't it? When someone put's the finger on it, why blaming her/him?
DeleteSeems we have an expert here, who knows what she or he is talking about - and in a respectful way. Ok for me!
Delete@Anonymous 18:14 - why can't people on this blog respect each other opinions?
DeleteAnon 18.14 do you talk this way in real life or do you spare it , where nobody knows you?
DeleteHear hear!
ReplyDeleteLovely business casual outfit, which she is a master at. I'm on the fence about the bangs. But the bun is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteChel
The outfit is missing a good blouse. The one she is wearing is far to casual compared to the material of the jacket, and the colour is wrong, does not lend itself to wearing a red jacket. Edwina
ReplyDeleteCatherine is looking great. Fantastic blazer, nice hairstyle, great shoes. She always looks very professional in a pantsuit. Damsel Dragonfly
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit for the event- polished and practical. Love the back of the updo. Not a fan of the side bangs/shorter hair hanging in front of the ears.
ReplyDeleteGlo
She looks very elegant. Everything fits beautifully.
ReplyDeleteHairstyle is lovely. She looks amazing. Jacket is great, The shortish trousers with flat shoes seem a surprisingly "older lady" look, similar to the two ladies she is speaking to in the third and fourth photos.
ReplyDeleteWould you prefer wide-leg or puddle pants, that fall and rest on the floor which are the trend this year? short and slim trousers are very trendy. Queen Letizia is a fan of short and slim pants and she wears them all the time mostly with high heels.
DeleteMJT
Personally a great fan of long wide legged trousers as I've said elsewhere. Heels certainly improve the short and slim trousers as worn by Queen Letizia or CP Victoria earlier this week. With the flats they just look old ladyish to me. However, I like the fact that we have different views aired on the outfits worn by the royals. It's what makes this site so enjoyable
DeleteI didn't know, that this (wonderful) style is "older lady". So i am old... e.
DeleteIt is on trend to wear straight legged pants at a shorter length with loafers, especially lug soles, or flats. Leticia does it the best. Kate's pants could be a little shorter and her shoes could be a little more casual and this look would work even better. It is not an old lady look at all, except her shoes could be more youthful.
DeleteFantabulous Princess Kate!
ReplyDeleteJ'adore this shade of red with this lovely beige top. The trousers are perfect. The shoes are even more perfect.
Understated. Elegant. Confident.

I am not so fan of the hairdo.
ReplyDeleteI'm not either. That is a ton of hair back there. It would have looked better, to me, if the bun had not been made so large. I have been wanting to see her pull her hair up, but a small bun would look much more youthful.
DeleteLovely outfit. But these bangs force her to shake her head without any other reason than removing them from her face. Fiddling with her hair is not new, but the bangs bring this on to a new level of annoying, very visible in videos. This is always disturbing, but much more when she is interacting with people - which is exactly what she has to do in most cases. I cannot understand how and why she did not consider this. (GM)
ReplyDeleteThat nude top ruins the outfit in my opinion. A crispy white top or blouse would have been so much better. Nice to see her without that long hair in her face for a change. That suites her beautifully.
ReplyDeleteShe is trying out something different. Good on her !
ReplyDeleteLike the pant and blazer, the top doesn't really match color wise. But great looking updo. css
ReplyDeleteHer looks old fashioned and very tired requires a very good cut right up to her shoulders at least and then it might shine a bit lol
ReplyDeleteIts lovely to see a rewear of the Zara jacket, love it. Her pants and light jumper underneath work in well. Love her hair up. The flat shoes, great choice. This was a wonderful visit.
ReplyDeleteReally lovely outfit! Love the slim ankle pants with the flats. Two different feelings about her hair: 1) the updo is a great idea especially since she is with young children but what I feared with the curtain bangs/fringe has happened, 2) the bangs hang in her face and look too messy for me. I wish she would have them incorporated into an updo or wear her hair down so they blend in better. But, no matter what, Catherine looks polished, profession, and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJanet
I like the outfit; casual and a nice bright jacket. The bun is just right (Tara)
ReplyDeleteAppreciate that it’s not one color and I love the red jacket, but this is an old lady outfit. She could wear this in her 70s and look great, but it’s so aging for anyone in their 40s.
ReplyDeleteI like almost everything. The jacket, the flats, her hair so nice this different look. Looking forward to more of these youthful looks. Rose
ReplyDeleteSorry, but this outfit is not the best on P. Kate as far as I can remember and the updo Is not to my liking.
ReplyDeleteTop marks for the re- wear of this beautiful Zara blazer.
What counts most here Is the goal of her visit.
Absolutely well done!
Agree with you on all points; somehow the updo seems 'forced' and to me gives the impression the PoW hardly dares to move her head
Delete@Anonymous
DeleteI did not mean or mention what you said.
Well, to be honest, my screen/ monitor is working well and my eyesight is good so I see what is there to be seen and not what I imagine.
There is no such fault on Pss Kate' s forehead .
I simply do not like her fabulous long hair gathered in an updo like this One in particular.
WON.DER.FUL! Simply wonderful. This whole outfit incl hairstyle is, what was missing the other day. Frieda
ReplyDeleteAnother b.o.r.i.n.g suit in different colour. Nothing fabulous here i'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteDoes she really need to look fabulous every day ? This is an ordinary visit, she is quite appropriately dressed. Red fits her quite well.
DeleteOnly report what people say about her.
DeleteAlmost looks like a totally different person with her hair up.
ReplyDeleteThe Princess of Wales looks absolutely gorgeous in this outfit. I love, especially, her shoes. Anyone know where they are from?
ReplyDeleteT
Shoes are from Boden, pointed toes black. anna e.
DeleteThanks, anna e.!
