On September 19, 2023, The Princess of Wales visited a youth intervention charity 'Streets of Growth' in east London. The not-for-profit helps those aged between 15 and 25 and during her visit, the Princess learnt about how these young people have been supported by the charity through its outreach and intervention programmes.

Fabulous look on Catherine! She looks great with tailored blazers! So modern and polished! MR
ReplyDeleteThe Princess of Wales looks great on this visit. The colour of the pantsuit suits her. The whole outfit and her hair like this gives her a cool 70's vibe. Damsel Dragonfly
ReplyDeleteTo my eyes, this is a rare miss for HRH the Princess of Wales. While the suit certainly fits her very well (though the trousers could be just a bit shorter), I don’t find the color flattering to her, and the look as a whole seems a bit limp. I think it would look better if the top underneath were in a print or pattern.

Sono d'accordo.: il colore non dona e il pantalone non convince.
DeleteAnche i capelli a tendina coprono troppo il viso e la loro lunghezza sembra appesantire....
I agree!

I couldn’t quite figure out what I didn’t like about this outfit, but you’ve hit the nail on the head. I completely agree with you. And it is a rare miss from the Princess of Wales.

Well, I wouldn't call it a miss, but for sure it might have looked much improved with a more vibrant top underneath. Wide legs almost sweeping the floor are very trendy right now, so she's got that one right. She always plays it safe, very safe, tbh, and that might easily flow into the territory of dull and boring on occasion. But as the nice saying goes "Better safe than sorry".
DeleteThis suit looks very good on her- color and style. There is a real 70’s vibe with her hair and the flare on the pants. It may seem boring to some but it is a good working wardrobe to have with job & kids and the variety of colors is nice.
ReplyDeleteMy only quibble, and I have felt this with others like Denmark’s CP Mary, is the length of the pants. When it looks like the pant leg completely hides the shoes and almost (or actually) touches the ground it feels too long to me. I’d like to see a little more shoe (at least the whole top of the toes) at the bottom.
Glo
When this style of pant made its first go 'round in the 70s, we would never have let our shoes show, and our pants had to be a millimeter from the ground. I can still remember the little kick we did if out pant leg got stuck on our shoe to get it completely over our shoe again. Both Mary and Kate are always perfectly tailored. This is what the length should be. It is even fashionable when they are too long and dragging, although it is not a look for everyone.
DeleteTotally agree with Glo (Anonymous 17:38). The length of the pants is better on the model.
DeleteBeautiful hair - as always, clothes appropriate, but
ReplyDeleteI think the pants need to be shortened a bit. Stephanie.
To me the nice look is ruined by the flared legs ... in some pictures I'm reliving the 'Saturday night fever' era
ReplyDelete@Anonymous 18:53. In fashion every style is coming back. Flared legs are in again. The designers cannot find eternally new things and when they do a lot of people do not like it and return to the classic styles they are used to. I'd just changed the color of the top underneath, maybe black or navy, wine red ? And adapt the shoes to that color. The monochromatic look seems to disappear again. Rose
DeleteOverall, a nice pantsuit, though the pants could have been a little shorter to show the top of the shoe. Anne
ReplyDeleteI think so as well.
DeleteShe is always polished, but I’m very bored of this uniform that offers no visual interest. This is the same outfit worn yesterday just in a different color, tan instead of black. All neutrals. A full suit with a white top underneath doesn’t seem modern at all. My hunch is that she’s choosing a blank palate at some events to highlight the organization, but she is dressing like an office worker, not a special guest.
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree with you. Just boring as usual, same style in different colour.
DeleteAnna
This is a lovely pantsuit, she looks so elegant.
ReplyDeleteWhat is good stays good: she doesnot need more than a simple good suit to look exquisite,
ReplyDeleteMabel
Exactly - and she does focus on her job.
DeleteThis colour washes out Kate in my opinion. Not sure I would combine the light beige suit with a white top either. Further washes her out. A brighter top like emerald or cobalt could have done it.
ReplyDeleteCH
The colour is not my favourite but the princess of wales still looks good. Love the style of the trousers.
ReplyDeleteI much prefer PoW in pant suits. She has the height and the figure to wear them. This is a beautifully tailored suit.I don't mind the 'puddle' bottoms, I quite like how they drape the shoe.Colour with the cream top his perfect! Bea
ReplyDeleteLovely, princess-professional look from Catherine! She looks amazing.

DeletePants too baggy, a nice blouse would look better than a t-shirt; I prefer the bright colour on the model. Hair a bit messy draping the side of the face. Eye makeup needs a change; brown a bit old school (Tara)
