On September 3, 2023, King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and Sir Tim Laurence attended the traditional Sunday service at Crathie Parish Church near Balmoral in Aberdeen, Scotland. King Charles is currently spending his summer break at Balmoral alongside Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family.
I remember somebody did not like Princess Anne's red hat on the Braemar Gathering? Well, I wish she had kept it on for the church, what do you think? And if we are at it, the whole ensemble she wore with it. I think it is those golden buttons that I dislike deeply. For Camilla another decent two-piece, I like it, length and fit and shoes and all. ReplyDeletePrincess Anne's hat is a little unusual, doesn't go with her outfit.
ReplyDeleteReally like this green outfit with the kick pleat skirt and I think the tartan trim may match the King's kilt. Princess Anne's outfit is great but I wish she would tights a shade or two darker. Mr Sunak, the Prime Minister, and his wife were also present and she wore a coat in a gorgeous shade of turquoise green
ReplyDeleteCamilla looks great in that suit, nice color with just a bit of tartan.

Nice to see Camilla in a different cut / suit. Anne, well, she’s Anne!!
ReplyDeleteTrès élégante Camilla dans cet ensemble vert ; la touche de tartan ainsi que son chapeau à double plumes nous annoncent comme un début d'automne surtout avec les chaussures camel ; avec la couleur des collants, c'est parfait !
ReplyDeleteAgain King Charles at his best. Unfortunately we don't see pictures here from the elegant Sunak couple. Mrs Sunak in a gorgeous turqoise coat with mustard accessories.
ReplyDeleteQueen Camilla's two pieces suit looks better than the one she wore the day before. I don't like anything of Princess Anne's outfit. The jacket has a weird cut. The golden buttons are applied too generously. The red dress she is wearing under the jacket is buttoned up to high under her chin. When she will put all her too white panty's in the waste bin ? King Charles Scottish outfit is good I suppose, I don't like skirts for men but I understand he must wear Scottish traditional clothes. Rose
ReplyDeleteAnne is the queen of rewear and I would not be surprised that she leaves a Scotland wardrobe at Balmoral. She still fits into her well tailored garments, so why not, where else could she wear tartan for a few days.I like the kings tartan, and the queens outfit suits her well. Nice that they go to church together.
ReplyDeleteLots of Tweed being worn here.
ReplyDeleteLots of good tailoring. Scotland at its best.
My mother had a classic tweed jacket which she handed down to me. It must have been at least 30 years old. Apart from the slightly dated style, it still looks new and I enjoy wearing it. It’s a great protector in the cold winters.
The wrinkle police can go on a holiday when they see someone wearing a garment made of tweed.
The fabric started out as a sturdy, warm, protection fabric for humble country workers but it now has royal status and is a “must have” for the smart and trendy.
If you’ve got the time, take a look at the history of this fabric via ……
