On September 29, King Carl XVI Gustaf, Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Christina attended the seminar "Gustaf VI Adolf and Archaeology" at The Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities (Östasiatiska museet) in Stockholm. The museum is located on Skeppsholmen in the building Tyghuset.
Gustaf VI Adolf had a great interest in East Asian cultural history and archaeology, and his donation of Chinese and Korean objects forms an important part of the museum's collections.

I adore Victoria and think she is a kind, down to earth and overall lovely person but a big no to this outfit. Too much check pattern and the pants are too long. Maybe if the blazer was paired with a sold colored skirt or slacks it would work..as would a solid colored top with the pants. But again her best accessory is her smile!
ReplyDeleteJust a straight no to the checked trouser suit. Either jacket or trousers with plain bottom or top would be okay but together not a good look imo
ReplyDeleteI agree with you completely Annie M.Sometimes I have to wonder if Victoria even has a stylist.
DeleteNow to our differing opinions on the white uniforms in Monarco.
I am a recently retired front line Australian nurse.
We have not worn white uniforms for more than 20years but have followed the American trend of comfy and colorful scrubs.
I just assumed that it would be the same in Europe but apparently not so.
Sorry but this is not a nice combo. For at home to run around in yes, it is OK. For a public event I would wear something else. it has been nice to see Pss Christina again. css
ReplyDeletePattern all over is a bit of a risk but I think Victoria looks stunning this time. As a working royal, I think it’s valid to stand out in a crown (à la Queen Elizabeth or Maxima), and this suit - which is really cut well for her -does that. - AnneLise
ReplyDeleteA big no for Victorias dress!
ReplyDeleteOooh no no Victoria! not that blazer and pant :-(
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit Victoria. Nice to see Princess Christina.
ReplyDeleteAgree
DeleteThe pantsuit fits well, but I am not a fan of the check pattern.
ReplyDeleteI’m good with a full patterned suit, but the colors paired with this pattern aren’t flattering for anyone. Also think the jacket and pants are too long. The King and Christina both look nice.
ReplyDeleteShe is shorter than average so when she wears ready made clothes from this and other Swedish brands, they should be adjusted to her height. This suit should not be worn as a combo. Jacket alone with solid bottom would be much better
DeleteVictoria isn’t shorter than an average woman, she’s over 165 cm, which is common in her peer group./Grace
Delete@Grace In a country where 26% of the women are over 170 cm tall, her 165 cm might be statistically average but this does not include differences in age and ethnicity. By Malina is one of many brands that designs clothes for tall scandinavian women with no curves.
DeleteThe blazer and the pants together definitely no, the blazer with a solid colour pants would be much better.

I love plaid, and I love browns and blues together so I adore this ensemble. I think she looks great... but I'd have worn a steel blue house myself.
ReplyDeleteI like it as well, however would not want to see it too often, and I agree that a more colorful blouse would have looked better.
DeleteToo much here--I think the trousers on their own would be great as well as the jacket paired with a solid pair of trousers. The suit fits beautifully so I hope some day Victoria will separate this explosion of checks to show just how great it would be as separates.

An allover, checked pattern suit like Princess Victoria is wearing instantly reminds me of the circus in Monte-Carlo.
ReplyDeleteNice to see King Carl Gustaf’s sister Princess Christina participating in the visit.
Photos n°3 and N°5, interesting combo on the lady in the black and white ensemble.
To me it's the white blouse which makes this pantsuit not the success it could have been; a darker colour blouse or turtleneck would have given it a much better total impression. I agree that the pair of trousers is a bit too long. Believe I would have chosen a different colour handbag/clutch to go with the pantsuit.
ReplyDeleteJe n'arrive pas à aimer ce costume avec tous ces carreaux ; peut-être qu'une des deux pièces dans une couleur unie donnerait un meilleur look !
ReplyDeleteEehhh no!
ReplyDeletePrincess Leonore looks like princess Christina!
ReplyDeleteThere's no words!
