On September 21, 2023, Queen Mathilde and Princess Eleonore of Belgium attended the Opera 'Cassandra' at the Royal Theatre of La Monnaie in Brussels. Cassandra, the first opera created by Belgian composer Bernard Foccroulle, combines the mythological figure of Cassandra with the contemporary character Sandra, a young climatologist and activits fighting to protect the environment and trying to alert to the impending danger.
What a beauty Princess Elenore has become! Philippe and Mathilde have magnificent children.
ReplyDeleteEleonore looks more beautiful every time we see her, she has come out of her shadow and even smiling.
DeletePrincess Eléonore is such a sweet princess. Every time I see pictures of her she is becoming more beautiful. The black outfit suits her blond hair and fair skin. The colors of Queen Mathilde's top are excellent for her, but I'd ask the designer to close the fold. It is probably comfortable to wear it like that, but it makes the top too wide. Rose
ReplyDeleteI agree completely. Mathilde is also wearing fabulous earrings. Damsel Dragonfly
DeleteGreat look on mother and daughter for a theatrical evening out. Normally not a fan of gigantic ear rings but this time I like it. They complement the blouse and the strong pattern needs substantial jewellery
ReplyDeleteEleonore è una bellissima ragazza, dovrebbe correggere la postura delle spalle perché tende ad essere curva come la mamma. Probabile sia l’altezza per entrambe.
ReplyDeleteRossella
Beautifull sweet mother and daughter.
ReplyDeleteGreat design on Mathildes top with exquisite matching earrings,
Mabel
Jacqueline
DeleteShe has features of both her parents, but also looks a lot like Mathilde’s mother an sister Elizabeth. Personally I don’t think she has any features of QPaola other than being blond and beautiful.
DeleteBoth Mathilde and Eleonore look lovely here! Their make-up and dress styles are spot-on. Eleanore is growing up so quickly, and is well on her way to be a sweet and stunning beauty.

Agree. Both look good and Princess Eleonore is so grown up and elegant. As with the younger Dutch Princesses, she seems to have grown up overnight

La Princesse Eléonore est vraiment ravissante, quelle belle jeune-fille, elle fait douce et distinguée, digne de sa jolie maman.
ReplyDeleteEleonore est magnifique

I love the way Queen Matilde grooms and prepares her babies for when they leave the nest. That’s what I call a VGM (Very Good Mum.)
ReplyDeleteFashion note: Excellent ensembles for a night at the opera.
Would love to see what shoes Princess Eléonore is wearing.
From what I can see and from photos on other royal sites, they appear to be a trendy flat soled shoe, a bit like ‘doc martens’.
If so, why not. She’s only 15 years old.
Agree! There is a lot of love and support in their family.
Delete@Deadeggs. I think she is wearing a pair of those new loafers with bigger soles for the Autumn and Winter. Rose
DeletePss Eleonore sure has grown., nice black top. Q Mathilde looks nice, I do think her earrings are a little too big OMO. css
ReplyDeleteWonderful mother-daughter engagement. Both look beautiful and stylish. Once again the Belgian royals support the arts. Seems they have a higher level of interest than most other royals.
ReplyDeletePetra
@ Petra.Of course they have a higher interest than other royals especially when classic music is involved. They inherited it from King Phillippe's great grandmother Queen Elisabeth the wife of King Albert I. She founded the music contests which take place every year and are named after her. She played several music instruments herself and invited composers and performers at the castle of Laeken. Princess Eléonore herself is playing the violin. Queen Mathilde is playing the piano. Prince Emmanuel is playing sax. They have also interest in all kind of arts and visit regularly a museum. Former Queen Paola also loved arts (and still do I suppose). She invited painters and other artists in the palace to make new decorations on walls and ceilings. King Phillippe is a painter himself and learned to play the piano only recently. Rose
DeletePrincess Eléonore has a real inner sweetness. She has grown into a real beauty and looks lovely at this event. The Queen looks fabulous, love her ensemble. The earrings work in well with her outfit.
ReplyDelete@ AvaPittman. The golden earrings are made by Christine Bekaert, a Belgian jewel designer. QM can wear the little flower separately, which she often does.
DeleteThe Queens earrings are the piece de resistance!
ReplyDeleteThis girl radiates pure beauty and she behaves flawlessly.
ReplyDeleteA credit again to her parents.
Both mother and daughter are so polished and classy.
Wonderful to see.
Eléonore is stunning. She is a mix of her mother and grandmother Paola. - Ann
ReplyDeleteI agree of course with all the positive comments here above. I would like to point out that the selection of pictures here is very good, much better than other choices seen elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteI see this is one of the bored ones. Not engaged, not smiling. Wishing she was somewhere else, right 😉
