On September 4, 2023, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark attended the Rungstedlund Prize 2023 ceremony at Karen Blixen Museum in Rungsted Kyst. The Queen presented the Rungstedlund Prize to Danish actress Connie Nielsen.
The Rungstedlund Prize is annually presented to a person who has made a notable contribution in an area related to Karen Blixen. The Prize is an award of honor and was established by the Rungstedlund Foundation in 1991. Queen Margrethe is patron of the Rungstedlund Foundation.
Queen Magarethe II is looking very good.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks wonderful, red really is her color.
ReplyDeleteBeing an American, the only film I’ve seen Connie Nielsen act in was Gladiator and I thought she was very good in that movie. It must be quite an honor to receive the Karen Blixen (an amazingly brave woman) Award from the Queen. I’m not sure i would have worn the outfit that Connie Nielsen chose.
ReplyDeleteKaren Blixen stands for colonialism worldwide.
DeleteI agree!
DeleteWhy not? She’s got great legs.
Delete09.22. It has nothing to do with her great legs, the dress has no style! Soagree with
DeleteKaren or for some Tanja Blixen was not very brave, but very interesting. And what about the colonial history?

DeleteFor me Karen Blixen stands for a strong independent individual.
Connie played Wonder Womans mother and has also playd in Law and order and a lot of others movies and TV shows. She quite well know actually.
DeleteTO 12:10 What about colonial history - it is simply history, the past. Don't put it in everything.
DeleteToday the Q is the lady in red. A good look. css
ReplyDeleteI love the Queens skirt ,jacket ,shoes and bag ;always so bright and cheery .her hair looks good with the hair slide, nice earrings. Not sure about the girl with the mesh skirt; a bit tacky(Tara)
ReplyDeleteBeaucoup de rouge mais avec la touche de blanc, la Reine nous montre un magnifique look !
ReplyDeleteThe curtsy of the lady in Pic 1 is divinely executed. The actress who won the prize has a skirt I cannot fathom. Can anyone with with more fashion knowledge explain the skirt? - AnneLise
ReplyDeleteYou' d better not fathom that skirt, cherie!😅
DeleteCurtseys should be abolished.
Deletethe skirt of the lady is unappropriate. I think she will regret it later when she looks at the photos in a few years.
ReplyDeleteWhy? What do you find inappropriate? RH
DeleteHow lovely HM looks in her red and white ensemble! Love seeing her out and about looking so well. Congratulations to the very talented Ms. Nielsen on her award.

Like the Queen’s outfit. The winning actress’s skirt is odd. A transparent over skirt can look okay at times but the mismatch in lengths doesn’t work. Like AnneLise, I am impressed with the perfect curtesy
