On September 11, Crown Princess Mary attended the Ministry of Education and Research's 2023 National Education Awards ceremony, at The Opera in Copenhagen. The Crown Princess, together with Minister Christina Egelund handed out this year's Teaching Awards to seven teachers at the country's higher education.
The awards went to Lecturers Lise Dissing Møller, Mads Pagh Nielsen, Jonas Fannikke Holbech, Helle Graabæk, Frits Giversen, Lena Brogaard and Professor Bo Meier. The awards honor teachers who have made difference through commitment and professional curiosity.
Zimmermann Kaleidoscope Button Blouse
The crown princess looks gorgeous.

Love her blouse, however something is a little bit off .... not sure what, perhaps with a different trouser?
ReplyDeleteAgree, I think it is the white of the trousers: too dominant for he delicate colours of the blouse.
DeleteMabel
Think you're right Mabel re the white trouser. In my opinion, the colour of the trouser should be picked the same dark purple of her blouse to contrast with the soft colour of her blouse or pick 1 of the pastel colour of her blouse to highlight the delicate feature of her blouse?

I like (not love) the overall outfit. If anyone can properly wear those wide trousers with style it's Mary, so kudos to her. My fav item is the blouse. Lovely printed fabric, colours, and blouse design.

Mary looks marvelous even though I'm not a fan of those super-wide trousers. Nice look for the awards.
ReplyDeleteJanet
I thought the same.
DeleteThe blouse is pretty and her hair looks great but don’t like the wide legs of the pants. They nearly overwhelm an otherwise nice outfit.
ReplyDeleteThis was my thought as well. I love the colors of her outfit though. But those pants make her look huge and she is definitely not.
DeleteLove the trousers and the blouse is okay. CP Mary looks terrific as usual.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are the perfect purple/lavender with her blouse…well played!
ReplyDeleteShe is so stylish- simple, elegant with a twist. I believe it is her accessories that make the difference - look at those gorgeous shoes and handbag - even the flowers are part of that perfect look.
ReplyDeleteThat blouse is absolutely fantastic, right down to the buttons. Suits her very well. If I owned that, I’d be wearing it at least once a week, with jeans too. I think for Mary’s trousers, less wide and simpler with shoes peeping out would have given a better overall balance.
ReplyDeleteMary and Letizia know how to dress well and appropriately for every event. Modern, never boring, always with an accessory or a shirt to break up the uniformity (see Kate's uniform colour mistakes, all white, all red, all blue, etc.). Irene
ReplyDeleteDear Irene. You said “see Kate's uniform colour mistakes”
DeleteSorry, I’ve looked very hard but I don’t see Kate's uniform colour mistakes.
What I do see from Kate is the charactics of British fashion.
Their fashion is influenced a lot by the British climate.
Plus the Brits are very insular. Hence the Brexit.
If there were a uniform European fashion code, I’m sure that the Brits wouldn’t adhere to it.
Why put Catherine down to uplift the other ladies, Catherine always looks on top, shame on you, we women should stick together.
Delete100% agree with you Irene. Mary or Letizia know perfectly how to dress simple but formal, still appropriately for each event according to their position, stylish and youthful not boring. Plus we can have different opinion, discussions are civilised on any blogs other than 'where-you-know', heated debates occur from her fans as soon as you think She is not 'perfect'.

I donat like the style of the blouse nor the pattern. The pale colors with white pants makes it look meh.

Magnifique chemisier boutonné mais à mon humble avis, le port d'un pantalon à jambes moins larges aurait flatté encore plus la silhouette de Mary !
ReplyDeleteWide trousers offer about the same contour/silhouette as a long skirt. The great advantage (in my eyes) is, that wide trousers can look nice on everyone, I cannot think of a figure type that should abstain from wide trousers, which is definitely not the case for slim (or skinny) trousers. Marys trousers are high-waisted, which is a plus, accentuating the natural waist line. Maybe a tad too long, touching the floor. The blouse is lovely. (GM)
ReplyDeleteShort people should stay away from wide trousers. Even more so, if they are not too slim at the same time. Maria Theresa for instance.

❤️ my favorite royal
ReplyDeletehaha ....me too :-) Jen.
Delete9/10 Smashing as always.
ReplyDeleteIf I was forced to change something, I’d change the blouse for one with less design on it.
The florist definitely phoned the palace to find out what Princess Mary would be wearing.
Kudos to the Danes for letting the boy present the bouquet.
I read that for a period recently, the Danish Ambassador in France was married and his partner was a man. Apparently they both attended official engagements.
Crown Princess Mary has such beautiful expressive eyes, its as they are the mirror of the soul. She looks so beautiful to me!!! Fitzhugh
ReplyDelete😍
DeleteTrousers are much too wide. They make her look bigger than she is. The muted colors of the blouse wash her out.
ReplyDeleteMichelle
Great look for Mary again today. css
ReplyDeleteA nice shoulder length bob will do the trick not this long sad hair
ReplyDeleteVery class and elegant as always!
ReplyDelete10/10 and more.
ReplyDeleteI can figure out only four royal ladies with the physique du role and the right height to successfully pull off this gorgeous combo:: P. Mary, P .Kate, P. Charlene and P. Mette- Marit.
Maybe also Q.Maxima and Q.Mathilde would be eligible to wear this ensemble.
