On September 3, 2023, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended an episcopal ordination held for the Diocese of Mechelen-Brussels's new archbishop Luc Terlinden at the Cathedral of Saint Rumbold in Mechelen.
On 22 June 2023, Pope Francis named Terlinden to succeed Cardinal Jozef De Kesel as archbishop of Mechelen-Brussels. Cardinal De Kesel presided over the ceremony.
Mathilde looks quite nice; a bit difficult to give an opinion since we see very little of her outfit.
ReplyDeleteLes couleurs bleu-marine et blanc de sa tenue sont bien combinées ; chaussures à talons à l'élégant décolleté !
ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde wore this white and navy dress by Dries Van Nooten 2 x in 2016, 1 x in 2017. The hat is 10 years old. I think this look is very appropriate for an episcopal ordination. There are only a few pictures of her. I think photographers were not allowed to stay too long in the cathedral were they could disturb the ceremony. Rose
ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde looks wonderful here--elegant dress and I especially love her pillbox hat.

Totally agree!

I like what I see but there is no good picture of the whole outfit. Love the fresh navy and white combination and her hat and shoes.
