On July 12, 2023, Queen Camilla attended the 10th day of Wimbledon Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London. Her sister Annabel Elliot accompanied the Queen. Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall also joined Queen Camilla at Wimbledon. Zara Tindall wore a striped midi dress by ME+EM.

ReplyDeleteThis dress is outstanding on Zara - it’s such a departure from her usual style (which is also beautiful and suits her well) that I’m really surprised to see her wearing it. Given this outing, I hope she incorporates more looks like this one into her rotation.

ReplyDeleteIt makes me uncomfortable that Camila's sisters have been inserted into the court, always accompanying her, and Kate's sister cannot give her the same emotional support.
Have you ever considered that Kate neither wants nor needs emotional support? She and Pippa can share a close sisterly bond and still be strong independent women. Both have families and 3 young children each, and therefore plenty to do. I'm sure they spend plenty of time together doing private things outside of public attention.

I do believe that Pippa Matthews, sister to the PoW, will be able at any time to lend support to her royal sister should the situation call for it. They had been at Wimbledon together quite often in the past. QC also has only one sister, Annabel Elliott. You seem to imply there are more, literally flooding the British Court. Well, there are not.

@ deadeggs Well the women of my age and me (also 1947) are looking so much better than Camilla and her sister. We do not wear this kind of dresses with thick shoulder pads and most of the time looking like a house dress my mother used to wear to do her housekeeping. In picture N° 4 & 5 Camilla's face expression is like if she is smelling a bad odour. Her sister has less wrinkles than she has and believe me it is not always necessary to buy very expensive products but ask advice at a good dermatologist. Of course if you wait too long there is no cure that can help any more. Rose

DeleteBut if you look at what Camille likes, it’s horses, dogs (hounds) , snobbish country life, the earthy smells of the English countryside, comfortable boots, damp English weather, curling up on a sofa with a gin and tonic and the latest copy of ‘Town and Country’ magazine, having a team of ‘little’ people around her e.g. her little cleaning lady, her little butcher, her little gardener her little ironing lady etc.etc.
If you look at what she hates, it’s fashion magazines, dressing up to look nice, hairdresses, spending time with dressmakers, wasting money on cosmetics (would be better spent on horses) , anything that isn’t good, solid British food (no foreign muck), the nouveau riches and above all being a Queen.
She is doing her best but can’t wait to hand the job over to William and Kate.
@deadeggs like they say in French "l'un n'empêche pas l'autre". I also like to work in my garden, I also have someone to help me with the cleaning, I don't drink alcohol not even with tonic. But I like a good cup of herbal tea hot in the winter and cold in the summer. Like I said you don't have to buy expensive cosmetics but a good advice from a good skin doctor can help a lot. I also hate nouveau riches because in general they didn't work for what they have. When I was young I worked hard and now I can live a good comfortable life. I do not spent money on buying fashion magazines because we can read everything on the internet. I prefer to take a walk to the town library and lend a good book to read in my comfortable relax.

Buying creams is buying illusions! ( as is drinking herbal tea and no alcoholic drinks)
Often the things that we use/take/apply to our bodies can work via the placebo effect. But we must use more than 100% positive thinking and have belief in them.

DeleteCreams that are recommended by a MD in dermatology and adapted to your skin cannot be bought in a beauty salon but at the pharmacist and they do help, believe me and not only against wrinkles. The fact that I am drinking herbal tea has nothing to do with wrinkles but with the fact that I like tea also normal tea. And the fact that I don't drink alcohol has nothing to do with wrinkles either but to me alcohol is indigestive because of the pharmaceuticals I have to take for my health condition. Nothing strange at my age. Positive thinking is always good for everyone young or old. Keep moving and have some activities too. I wish you all a good health and a happy life. Rose
Again, another outfit with stripes down the front. It is either that, or her small busy print house-dress type apparel, even for more formal occasions.
