C'est un grand plaisir d'avoir la présence de la princesse Kako à ce concert ; adorable sans masque; elle est vêtue d'une robe à larges rayures que j'aurais aimé mieux voir seule en appréciant le mouvement de sa jupe quand elle marche !
Very nice dress. I like those skirts with a "hidden" color in the pleats. The short jacket is still rather imperial style but it looks very fresh. Ladyofthemanor
Wow - HIH P Kako’s outfit looks great on her. Colors, design, and fit are all very flattering to the Princess. It seems to me she often appears in one color (usually pastel), so the vibrant stripes are a welcome variation. Anya
Princess Kako does a good job of looking modern while dealing with the style limitations of the Japanese royal house. The dress is very pretty as are her earrings.
How come she always managed to look better and younger dressed than the other female members of the imperial family ? It looks like she follows the Western fashion by taking little steps forwards : the jewelry is fashionable (not the pearls the others always wear), the handbag, always the first to change a little something on her outfit (the white parts in the pleats of her skirt). She always has a better hairstyle than the others too. Rose
Honest question: Why is this young woman pushed to the front and center of the Japanese family, when the Emperor and his wife have a daughter that should be front and center? Is their daughter still in univ thus the reason someone else is pushed to the front? Edwina
HIH Aiko, Princess Toshi, the Emperor’s daughter, started university in 2020, so I’m guessing she’s still got a bit of time to go (I’m not familiar with how long university programs last in Japan). So, I’m guessing you’re right and that that is why we don’t see her as much yet.
So modern looking, just don't show the shoes

DeleteMaybe the Royal house is beginning to see the light after they threw out her sister, Princess Mako, with the dishwater.
DeleteNo mask.
