King Philippe and Queen Mathilde visited the renovation works at the Royal Palace of Brussels. The renovations consist of the cleaning and restoration of the facade, the stone balustrades and stairs, but also of the garden walls, fences and gates. The Royal Palace is the King’s administrative residence and main workplace, where he works daily with his staff.
A tradition has been established since 1965 to open the Palace to the public every summer after the National Holiday of 21 July until September. This year, the royal palace will not open its doors to the public due to renovation works. The works would take about a year and a half and cost around €6 million. The next opening is scheduled for the summer of 2024.
Bella Mathilde in versione sportiva!

This a very good, serviceable outfit, which the Queen wears well.
ReplyDeleteThese two-look cute wearing the hardhats. css
ReplyDeleteShe looks great! What a cool tour to do!

Not only she, king Philippe looks quite good as well.
DeleteQueen Mathilde is always looking good in sportive outfits. I love King Phillippe's jacket and trousers too. I heard the palace will also be restored to coop with the climate changes

Mathilde looks young for her age in these pics. Nice sporty outfit 👍

Nice sporty outfits for the occasion. Though they look a bit silly wearing the green hats, its for a specific reason, wouldn't want a chunk falling off an knocking the King or Queen on the head.
ReplyDeleteIn picture N° 6 one can see Queen Mathilde has long slim legs. The pants she is wearing have the perfect cut for her. Her Véja sneakers make this look young and chic at the same time. Rose
ReplyDeleteTotally agree!
DeleteThe right green hat in the wrong place. Should be delivered to another house.
DeleteTo those who make the king and queen ridiculous with their green hats. The color of the hats is not important. In Belgium (and in the rest of Europe as well I suppose) when you visit a place with constructions you are supposed to wear a helmet like this. The contractor who allows visitors is supposed to give a helmet to them. If you don't wear it and an accident happens the insurance companies will not pay you any damages. And the contractor risks to be punished and pay all the bills himself. Simple as that.
