On July 7, King Carl Gustaf of Sweden presented the 2023 Solliden Prize (Årets Ölänning) to the Glömminge-Algutsrums' chair Bitte Börjesson in a ceremony held at Solliden Palace on Öland. The King was accompanied by Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria, who were dressed in traditional Öland folk costumes for the ceremony.
Always nice to see them in their National Dress. They always look good. css

ReplyDeleteLove seeing QS and Victoria in the traditional folk costumes--this time from Oland. The dresses are very pretty and I especially like the white (perhaps linen) neckkerchiefs--they are beautiful.

The ladies look lovely . However the King looks very dapper and very happy on this occasion. He is a very handsome man still and dresses so stylish.
ReplyDeleteYes, the king is always dressed very stylish and perfect. Compare the difference to king Charles - I couldn't believe it when I saw him meeting president Biden in an old dirty suit, with full

Ces costumes traditionnels leur vont à merveille ; le roi a l'air jovial, vêtu avec goût !
ReplyDeleteThe Swedish Royal family seem to be very happy with their traditions and respect them well. There is some interesting reading out there giving information on how, when and why with their costumes.
ReplyDeleteKing Carl Gustaf is an immaculate dresser. Always to the point, well fitting clothes and adjusted to suit the occasion.
Together with the Queen they make a beautiful Royal Couple.
The Royal ladies look marvellous. The King looks well groomed and dapper.
