On July 20, 2023, King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Princess Astrid, Prince Lorenz and Prince Laurent attended the National Day concert on the eve of National Day 2023 celebrations. The concert took place at Flagey in Brussels. French cellist Victor Julien-Laferrière performed with the Belgian National Orchestra under the baton of Antony Hermus.
Belgian National Day is celebrated every year on the 21st of July to celebrate the culture and history of Belgium as a nation. This year, National Day coincides with the 10th anniversary of the reign of King Philippe. On National Day 2013, King Philippe formally ascended to the throne following the abdication of his father Albert II.
On July 20, 2023, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde Belgium attended the Bal National festivities in Brussels, on the eve of Belgium's National Day.

DeleteMaybe somehow those responsible for the gown ran out of time. So they took this nice fabric and draped it around her in such a masterful way, that it almost looks like an evening gown. But only almost. - For good balance: nice colour for her, definitely divine earrings and shoes to die for.

DeleteBeautiful dress in a lovely color. I like the cape style and the flowing skirt-cape material in this soft fabric. I am even ok with the uneven hem this time. Not quite sure why but I think it has to do with the soft lines.

DeleteOh the Queen looks superb!, this yellow gown looks beautiful, love the strappy shoes, perfect choice. The small compact evening clutch is a welcome addition. The draping and flow of this evening garment works very well. The color is beautiful. A very elegant look.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Queen Mathilde in yellow. Gorgeous golden sandals by Christian Dior and her golden clutch by Diane von Furstenberg. Earrings by Percossi Papi. It is funny this dress is a repeat which she wore for the first time in the month of June at the Music competition Reine Elisabeth. The critics were not good then. How people's reactions can change in a short time.

For the Bal National QM was again dressed in yellow. The pant suit is made by Esmeralda Ammoun, golden earrings by Dries Van Noten. Rose

For an evening gown that has a touch of “different” to it, it’s a yes vote from me.
ReplyDeleteThe Royal couple look very nice. Mathildes gown nice and fluid, but not so much a fan of yellow. Astrids outfit on the other hand is, I don't know what to say about the top. The skirt is nice by itself but maybe for a younger person. Astrid is in need of a dresser's help. css
