On June 20, the Princess of Wales attended the reopening of the National Portrait Gallery in London following its extensive three-year refurbishment. As part of her visit, the Princess viewed an exhibition of portraits by Yevonde Middleton. The Princess' own 40th birthday portraits — which were temporarily shown in various venues around the U.K. during the renovation — will be permanently hung on the Gallery's walls. The Princess has been Patron of the National Portrait Gallery since 2012.

Catherine is beautiful in her stylish outfit. Especially like the pairing of the jacket and skirt.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely suit on Catherine though to me, the longer skirt length gives her a mature look. However, at 41yo she is starting to bridge the gap between genres, and is enjoying the finest years of her life and still looking fun and fabulous wearing either a youthful and funky, or a mature and sophisticated wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteThis is twice in a row that she is wearing classic black and white, and she does so extremely well.

I love everything about this look. Sleek and polished but certainly not boring. I even like her long wavy hair, which I think is perfect for this outfit. And those shoes….. the icing of the cake
ReplyDeleteA beautiful outfit but why wear fake pearl earrings when you have gorgeous real jewelry? It makes no sense to me. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteMy thoughts exactly! MR
DeleteKate looks so pretty in this dress! I know I say it all the time but she has really put on quite the show lately with her outfits!! Very tasteful and feminine.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous summer look! Love the chiffon skirt with the structured jacket in boucle top. Her shoes make the outfit even more elegant and sophisticated. The belt appears to have moved off-center so the end is a bit flappy--a bit of dressmaker's tape could fix that--but that is probably from normal movement in the dress.

So elegant.
ReplyDeleteClassy and beautiful. But the big winner are those divine shoes!
ReplyDeleteThis is another dress that needs a slip.
ReplyDeleteMatter of fact: it has. The skirt is lined.
DeleteSehr chic und elegant!
ReplyDeleteI really like this outfit though it’s an unusual combination with the bouclé top and chiffon skirt. Shoes are wonderful

Perfetta ❤

I don't intend to be offensive but when I look at the photo with the two ladies either one of them overdressed or the other one not appropriately dressed. The contrast is enormous. I like the PoW's outfit although a bit very white... .I.P.
ReplyDeletewell the men are wearing suits with a tie, so Catherine is well dressed. The lady with a sweater wrapped around her hip is either a tourist or just being rude
Deletem
Well, one is a princess and the other one the artist: both very different positions in life.
DeleteKate again so perfect and elegant:how does she do it!?
Mabel
The lady with a wrapped sweater is a british artist Tracey Emin whose drawings made in bronze decorated the doors of the Gallery. https://www.designboom.com/art/tracey-emin-45-women-portraits-london-national-portrait-gallery-new-bronze-doors-06-19-2023/
DeleteTracey Emin could have made more effort.
DeleteWhat a nice summery outfit, perfectly matched with accessories and het beautiful hair
ReplyDeleteLuna
The last with the sweater is the Tracy Emin, an acclaimed artist! Her work is somewhat controversial.
ReplyDeleteThe woman wearing blue and red is the artist who created the bronze portraits for the front doors. It's safe to say she has other things on her mind.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous Mary
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit. I like the lookalike Chanel jacket and the transparent skirt. Typical for Self-Portrait. Did Meghan forgot a pair of shoes in London ?
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful, elegant ensemble. The length of the skirt in this instance I like, oozes elegance. The jacket is fabulous, but those shoes, oh divine. Love her pearl and diamond drop earrings, perfect addition.
ReplyDeleteGreat ensemble. She looks classy. css
ReplyDeleteThis balanced look is overwhelming. Elegant, feminine, the flowing, fluffy skirt is perfect. I agree, even Catherine’s hair seems to reflect the movement of her skirt.

Do not exaggerate !
DeleteAnon13:35 Why do you deem it exaggerating when someone (Virginia in that case) expresses herself enthusiastically? I would, in any case, strongly recommend that the "do not post anonymously" rule should be taken more seriously around here. Why is it so hard to give yourself a name when commenting?
Delete😤
DeleteDear DSC, Thank you for defending me. The no namer probably could not even be bothered to read the other very similar contributions, especially the French one, so I guess it is all about spreading negative vibes and nothing else.
