Good grief, Maxima, can you leave off the exaggerated facial posing? The lovely girl playing music for you is not a tragic opera. Let people focus on her and not your face dramas. Otherwise, Maxima’s dress is beautifully summery. Mathilde looks fine.

When Q Maxima concentrates on something her face is always like that.

The rest of the audience sits behind Maxima. This means that they do not see her face and cannot be disturbed by her expression be it exaggerated or not.

Has it ever occurred to you that Maxima is genuine? She has an exuberance for everything and everyone.

Why do you say exaggerated? Have you ever performed in front of an audience at close quarters? Do you think it's impossible for any mother to be engaged with a small nervous child giving a recital? Do you have kids to know how important the reaction between performer and audience is to boost confidence? Do you know that a snapshot records just a moment of a split-second? And despite all this, your only assessment is that Maxima is exaggerating?? Pffff...

😂😂 I think the problem may be with you, Anon 15 48. All I noticed were two ladies enjoying the performance

Both ladies look great. I love these re-wears as much now as the first time they wore them. Both dresses suit the wearer perfectly.

I agree and the dresses are both by Natan.

I think Mathildes dress is the better one. Máximas looks tight. The hats/bands or whatever add absolutely nothing and spoil the look for me. km

I would take the opposite view on the dresses. Apart from the uneven hem, I think Queen Maxima’s dress is lovely, while Queen Mathilde’s is a little fussy for my taste Love the hats which elevate the dresses from relatively ordinary daywear to outfits suitable for a formal visit.

Both ladies need to sit up straight, not shoulders all curved over. Maxima, stop sitting pigeon-toed, and the facial expressions are over the top. On the plus side, each of their dresses are ok, though Max has the weird hemline again.

It's the insanely high heels that causes ladies to sit pigeon - toed.
I makes it hard to sit properly with legs straight and closed. As for the facial expressions, that's just Maxima, thats the way she is. And it has nothing to do with fashion.
But crazy high heels do! Time Woman say no to this unhealthy fashion.
The dresses are ok and I don't care for uneven hemlines either.

Now they cannot sit up like you wished they would. Come on this is really exaggerated. It is probably hot for them too you know and maybe they are tired. The program of this state visit is rather busy.

    Does Maxima have gloves on?

  6. Qu'elles sont belles toutes les deux mais la robe de Mathilde montre un imprimé fleuri estival très frais qui coule à merveille sur sa silhouette ; j'adore la petite touche de rose !

I loved Máxima’s dress ( and little hat) very much until I saw the uneven hem.
That’s a pity, unnecessary and adds nothing to this lovely summer dress.
Mathilde also wears a lovely dress.
Both got a bouquet in colours that are in their respective dresses: nice gesture,

Who said that 'a Natan' was going to make it's appearance? So right!
I like them both, and the both love music, so perfect outing.
Do you know what is the little red brouch, very tiny, Maxima is wearing? She had it on the first day as well

There are more pictures of the 2 children who brought a bouquet of roses to both the queens. Queen Maxima was very friendly to them and embraced them.

Both ladies look good. Want to level the hem of Maxima's dress but otherwise the Queens are in their style comfort zones. Sweet that the flowers for Maxima are orange--thoughtful gesture.

Both dresses are pretty, but both are just a bit overdone. With Máxima, it is the fully superfluous vertiginous hemline, with Mathilde it is the colour change at the hemline of a somewhat turbulent pattern. I would have eliminated that last section for a more attractive length anyway.

You would eliminate the last section for a more attractive length ? That is just the part (the color change) that makes the dress. In this case a longer dress doesn't bother. The hemline of Maxima's dress was new in fashion when she first wore the dress. In this dress made of a hand painted fabric it doesn't bother me.

@Anon 22:19: No, I meant: I would eliminate the last section because I find the colour change is a bit too much on an already busy print. And then, the length would disappear too :-). GM

Both look good. Different style. Mathilde almost never goes wrong with outfit. This time i like Maxima’s dress, nice patterns, neutral colour but cheerful to change a bit from usual flowers we see.…

I like Maxima´s dress down to her knees. The I can't stand the sloping hem. Mathilde´s dress is shapeless and I don't really like the print either.

Both ladies are beautifully dressed including all accessories. Both queens have an emotional expression while listening to the music, nice to know they can be moved by the talented playing of young musicians. Queen Mathilde has looked tired lately, and I notice in the photos that her feet look swollen. I hope she is not seriously ill. S.M.

You can't tell me these two haven't got the time of their lives coordinating fashion for those trips. I love Mathilde's dress and the hat is amazing! I think Maxima's look would've benefitted from a stronger contrasting shoe, like a bright yellow or red. The mustard drowns a bit next to this bright fabric.

An since when have we become their judges. They are not asking anyone about their facial expressions, posture, nor are they asking judgement on their attire! How would you like it if someone judge you. It is their style and their posture. Get over it!
