On June 12, 2023, Queen Rania of Jordan attended the King Hussein Cancer Foundation's (KHCF) 2023 Hope Gala fundraising event - a foundation of which she and King Abdullah II are patrons. The gala was attended by Prince Talal bin Muhammad, special adviser to the King, and Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the KHCC and KHCF.
The event aims to support projects that sustain the fight against cancer in Jordan and the region, such as the establishment of specialized centers across Jordan under the banner of the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). Queen Rania wore a gown from Elie Saab's Spring Summer 2023 couture collection.

Très joli modèle d'Elie Saab porté par Rania que je préfère à celui de la princesse Ghida Talal !
ReplyDeleteQueen Rania's version of the dress is better than the model, i think she looks amazing, very elegant!
DeleteThis is getting back into crusty Saab territory, of which I'm not really a fan. Even if it's not actually "crusty" it has that look, so while the Queen looks great, I don't especially like this dress.
ReplyDeleteThe sleeves are a bit unusual..there are better style sleeves she could have chosen in my opinion, but otherwise, the gown is gorgeous, the colour is lovely, and Rania wears it all so well.

Meant to add: The shocking pink gown seen in Photos 1 and 3 looks like the same evening gown that CP Victoria wore to CP Hussein's wedding to P. Rajwa a couple of weeks ago.

The royal ladies of Jordan showed us a lot of beautiful gowns lately. Hot pink has found its way to their dressing rooms too. Elie Saab creates wonderful evening dresses.
ReplyDeleteRania looks lovely, but I do prefer the sleeveless version. Just my personal taste
ReplyDeleteThe sleeves look like hastily tugged in to cover the arms. Which is of course not the case, as the elaborate neck part demonstrates. But this somehow unready looking "surrogate" sleeves ruin the outfit for me.

Rania looks stunning. This is a beautiful gown. The Jordanian RL know how to dress. css
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteI like Rania’s gown if it had stayed strapless. I’m not sure I like this little tugged in shrug she wears with it. I understand the modesty rules in that area of the world, but it looks kind of tossed together.
ReplyDeleteI realise this dress is a result of great craftsmanship but I don't like it. Too much like a corset with a cape tucked in for modesty.

This is a beautiful strapless dress that has been ruined by the addition of the faux sleeve/cape. I particularly dislike the way it bunches up at her armpits. Q. Rania is a stunning woman who can do much better than this. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteThe one-shoulder grey and white gown is stunning! DIQ
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteWow, she looks spectacular. The draping of the sleeves that she had modified is unusual, but like it. This color is gorgeous. She does these over the top gowns so well.

The Queen looks beautiful, but I don't like this gown at all. I do love the white off the shoulder gown, the lady is wearing in the photo with the Queen, this gown is stunning.
ReplyDeleteLove both gowns. Maybe the two gowns have been altered for “cultural” reasons.
ReplyDeleteBut then there is a lady wearing a white, one shoulder gown ???
Very little jewelry worn (or shown) by the ladies?
Excellent ‘washed-’n-polished’ look from the gents.
Don’t know why, but when I look at photos like these, I think of the Lisa Minnelli song ……. money, money, money 😁
Where is queen noor? She is the woman who did the most for women and children in that country
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. Good question.
DeletePure elegance.
