Dries Van Noten Spring Summer 2017 Collection
I dislike the pattern, but the silhouette/shape of this dress, hair and make up are beautiful. Mathilde looks lovely. JJ
ReplyDeleteTotally agree.
DeleteThe first model’s version without the black train is much better; Matilde’s version is too mumsy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful
ReplyDeleteWow! unconditional Yes, a rather rare occasion for Mathilde's fashion choices (at least when Natan dominated). No wonder, Dries van Noten is almost always good for her. Her hairstyle is also outstanding, the broad but simple bracelet is a very good fit with this gown.

In the second picture with the flowers the top of the dress looks really nice and the pop of orange and yellow looks good. Unfortunately I find the fabric too much in a long dress. Shape and fit is great. It's the 1970s curtain pattern that kills it for me.

Such a classy lady
ReplyDeleteSuperbly!
ReplyDeleteMathilde looks marvelous even though personally I am not a fan of this fabric (I don't like busy prints like this). Her dress is beautifully fitted, her hairstyle is elegant, and I like how she has simply styled this dress--the print is so busy that it really needs few accessories.

I agree. It's a nice, well fitted dress. The pattern is. just too busy for this to be great, imo
DeleteStunning Dries van Noten, alas, flowers in wrong colour,
ReplyDeleteMabel
No to the flowers she was given and the dress, they clash. No to the large orange flower on her left side. No to the huge orange earrings, and the dress itself, hided her flaws, but is way to bright and busy 'pattern wise', other wise if it was another color, it might be better. Lovely hairstyle, and beautiful smile.
ReplyDeleteThe dress hid no figure flaws at all as tall, elegant, leggy Queen Mathilde does not have any.
DeleteA beautiful repeat dress by Dries Van Nooten.
ReplyDeleteI'll finish my comment on the Dries Van Nooten dress now. Queen Mathilde wore this dress only once in 2017 for the Queen Elisabeth Competition of that year. Since it is a classic dress with colors that are still up to date I think she can still wear it. Together with the orange shoes, the golden clutch and the salmon/light orange earrings it is a great outfit. Love her hair.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic dress and hair and make-up for Mathilde. Really statuesque. She looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteCette robe est bien ajustée mais sur le fond noir, je trouve qu'il y a trop de fleurs colorées ; leur nombre plus réduit améliorerait le look de Mathilde : magnifiques ses cheveux ramenés dans un petit chignon !
ReplyDeleteHet hair is lonely, accessories and shape of the dress perfect for her.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm sure my mom's sheets in the 70's had the very same pattern

Mathilda looks very nice. I am not a fan of the pattern, but it looks good on her. I like her hair up this way a lot. css
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful long dress. The cut and fit is perfect. The only thing I don't like is the pattern on the fabric. I love her cuff bracelet, nice! Her small clutch is divine. I love her hair up.
ReplyDeleteSo do I.
DeleteWonderful dress. Shame about the poesy presented to her, they got their colours wrong on that one.
