On June 7, Crown Prince Hakon and Crown Princess Mette Marit visited The Church City Mission in Drammen and Sisters in Business in Slemmestad. Sisters in Business is an entrepreneurial company that creates work for women with an immigrant background through local textile production. Sisters in Business has two production units, a sewing room at Ikea Slependen and a factory and shop at the recycling center Omigjen in Slemmestad.

Must say I'm chocked how badly the NRF is followed by this blog. On May 31th MM was out and about. Not a word. The King and Queen had a reception for NATO's foreign ministers at the palace. Not a word. On June 2th MM and princess Astrid was out and about together. Not a word. June 5th the The king and Queen travelled on a county tour. Not a word. June 6th second day of the county tour. Not a word. June 7th day 3 of the county tour. Not a word. June 8th day 4 I guess we will see not a word. Do we see the trend? Didn't mention Haakon since this blog don't follow the men. So quite suprised that we finally got an update of this lovely couple.
ReplyDeleteCome on, @Anonymous.
DeleteWe are immensely grateful for your update.
Now we know literally everthing about the NRF.
Thank you 👍
I don't exspect everything the royals from every house do are written about, but I exspect a fair share from every royal house. After all it's a royal blog. Today we don't see that. And this time it was shocking to see how little from the NRF we could read about. Strangely enough everytime Kate, Victoria, Letizia or Mary breathe we can read about it ;)
DeleteAppreciate your comment Anon 12:29 ! You say loud what most of us quietly think the same 👍

ReplyDeleteNice blouse, lovey color on her , appropriate for the setting. I noticed her wedding ring is not visible on pic 4&5 yet it is on #7 and last ones, why is that? Shoes are great
ReplyDeleteMaybe she took it off for a while to help with some work in the centre ?
DeleteThat's not her wedding ring. In Norway we wear the wedding ring on our right hand. This is her Cartier Clash de Cartier ring you see on these photos. She had her wedding band on, but took the rings on both hands of. She didn't put her wedding band on again since it has a lot of stones. Probably so they shouldn't ruin the fabric she was handling, and sewing I guess.
DeleteCP Mette-Marit nicely dressed, but pink shoes? ...
ReplyDeleteHer blouse has pink in the flowers, matches well
DeleteIf look up the blouse on a sales website you'll see on a closer look that there is pink in the pattern. There is a photo of the blouse paired with pink trousers and it looks great. So MM'S choice of pink shoes are a good choice. She looks good in the outfit and it suits the occasion. My minor quibble is, the blouse should have been a bit longer for her. It is not good to create a horizontal line on the broadest part of the hips.
DeletePink shoes are trendy.
DeleteIf you look closely; you’ll notice some pink in the blouse.
DeleteI agree!
DeleteLovely blouse MM which makes the outfit quite nice for the occasion. I too wonder why the NRF is not presented on this blog, as well as Princess Anne who had two trips to Canada within the last two months that were not covered.
ReplyDeleteLovely couple, wish to see them and hear about their activities / news more often.

I like the blouse and the shoes. The trousers look a bit on the short side.
ReplyDeleteAnnieM
The blouse is pretty, love the shoes. The pants, could be a little longer, regardless she looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteBoth MM and CP Victoria dress in a no nonsense no fuss sorry of way.... Fashion and frills are definately not a priority to either of them... However a very good stylist could update their styles without making them look like a Disney Princess and both of them being comfortable in the outfit.
ReplyDelete🥳 cheers to this lovely couple! Simple and friendly as usual, casual and quite approachable they seem, no fuss about make up, outfits (good or bad) that people comment on and on. A pleasure to see them and follow their engagement. The focus is then very much on what they do than how they look.
