On June 14, King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the arrival of HMT Empire Windrush. The Windrush Generation denotes the people who emigrated from the Caribbean to Britain between the arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush on 22 June 1948 and the Immigration Act 1971.
Before the reception, Queen Camilla received Colonel Ruth Weir, Head of Corps, Royal Australian Corps of Military Police at Buckingham Palace.
On June 14, 2023, Queen Camilla attended the Bees for Development (BFD) Bee Garden Party held at Marlborough House in London. The Bee Garden Party aims to highlight the work of the charity which supports and encourages international communities to unlock the benefits of beekeeping to help people out of poverty.
DeleteThe dress is lovely on QC - good colour and fit. I do think the overall look would be improved with more cohesive jewelry. Right now it’s a mishmash of pearl earrings, gold pendant, and various unrelated bracelets. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, i would have match this with a simple, yet matching set.

Neat!
ReplyDeleteThese ladies look amazing. I love the white top/dress in the second picture.
ReplyDeleteQueen is dressed too casually, the guests look so elegant. A hat at the out door event would have been great.
ReplyDeletePOV- do not ask anyone where they are from
😀😎😁Nice comment.
DeleteNo one else was wearing hats and formal wear except this one group. Maybe they did so for a specific reason but the event as such was not an overly formal one. So, no hats involved except on this rather fancy ladies' group.
DeleteLovely green dotted dress that falls and flows beautifully from what we can see, It's right there as another of Camilla's preferred 'styles', but she wears dresses like this beautifully and it shows.

Why the attendees in picture n° 6 & 7 are dressed like they have to go to a carnival party or a Bal masqué ? I like Camilla's dress it doesn't change much of the style of her other dresses but it looks like the fabric is better for the summer. Thinner shoulder pads however would have been better. From a distance (picture N°) she is looking good.
ReplyDeleteMost of the people attending were very casually dressed, not hats and the likes. This one group just stood out for reasons unknown. It was not an overly formal event.
DeleteCamilla's dress is lovely and she looks great--and I am sure very comfortable in the heat the UK is currently experiencing. I love the color and the draping style of the skirt.

I personally love the Queens style in dresses. They are all basically the same with some minor changes but she always looks so comfortable and classy. She never tries to wear anything trendy that does not suit her figure. She also wears comfortable shoes that some may not approve of but, at her age, her feet may need a break.
ReplyDeleteCould not agree more.
DeleteThe Queen's dress is very pretty, it has plenty of swish and movement, the skirt moves beautifully. Love the green color, its beautiful.
